Aliens

Supernaturals are not just limited to Earth. If Humans aren't alone in the world, surly the supernatural and mortal beings on Earth aren't the only ones in the Universe. Coming from all around the galaxy, Night World is now being invaded by Aliens.

Jiwa

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies with Host

  • Eyes: Varies with a Silver Ring Around the Pupil

  • Height: Varies with Host

  • Build: Varies with Host

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Jiwa are parasitic Aliens that attach themselves at the base of a host’s neck, they are small and emit a silver light around their centipede like bodies, they are able to cure their host of terminal illnesses and obtain all the memories and knowledge their host has.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Being without a host, being removed from a host, and damage to a host’s body.

  • Powers: Ability to implant themselves into a host, cure their host of all illnesses making them healthy and hospitable, able to live indefinitely, and vast knowledge.

Rank: C Tier

History:

Jiwa are known for their intergalactic travel taking on young hosts that are ill and dying. These parasitic Aliens will promise a potential host with the ability to cure their illness, even cancer. This is no lie, the Jiwa can truly cure a host of any ailment that threatens their life, but in return the Jiwa implants themselves into the base of the neck and takes over the host’s consciousness. All memories and knowledge from that host is transferred to the Jiwa and they walk among the rest of the planet as that person. The key sign of telling if a creature has become a host for the Jiwa is the silver ring around the pupil, if you take a closer look at the back of the host’s neck, you can see the bump of a small centipede like creature, which is where the Jiwa is.For both the host body and the Jiwa to live, the two must remain connected with the Jiwa securely implanted. There has never been a successful removal of the parasitic Alien where the host has survived. When removed from the host the Jiwa is vulnerable and can easily be killed. Forced removal often ends in the Alien’s death, but when a host’s body naturally ages and moves closer to death, right before the body passes, the Alien will willingly remove itself from the host so that it may find a new one. Jiwa are able to live indefinitely so long as they are able to move from host to host, planet to planet. These Aliens are able to keep all the memories and knowledge of their past hosts, even after they have removed themselves from the host.

Abilities:

Being a parasitic subspecies of Aliens, Jiwa are unable to live long without a host body. They are able to travel from planet to planet finding willing hosts. As a pacifist species they must find a willing host to take over. Often they find those who are suffering with disease or terminal illness willing to become hosts as they can cure the body of whatever it is suffering through. The host body is then able to live on through the Jiwa taking over their consciousness. Jiwa are able to live on indefinitely so long as they are able to detach themselves from the host’s body when it starts to give out. When taking over the consciousness of a host they gain the memories and knowledge of the host from infanthood all the way to the moment the Jiwa implants itself. When they detach themselves from their host, they are able to retain these memories and knowledge making Jiwa incredibly knowledgeable and often having vast abilities as “jacks-of-all-trades”.

Appearance:

When outside of a host these parasitic Aliens are rather small looking much like a house centipede. They are silver in color and glow leaving a silver aura around themselves that is visible in daytime, but even more so at night. Though host bodies will vary, when a Jiwa takes over the host body and cures them of any illnesses they might be suffering from, their blood turns silver in color and looks almost metallic as it shines. Also when taking over a host, these Aliens are able to tell each other apart from normal humans by looking into each other’s eyes. If a Jiwa has taken over a host, the host’s body will form a bright silver ring around the pupil which shows that the parasitic Alien now has full control over the host body.

Personality:

When the parasite takes over a host, they are often confused and mildly overwhelmed with getting to know their new selves. They will often ask questions about themselves to friends and family of the host as they adjust. Once a Jiwa is stable with their host they become less robotic and start to blend in with their speech and mannerisms.Jiwa are pacifists as they do not believe in violence, they only want peace and order on whichever planet they happen to land on. They are highly motivated to be upstanding members of society, and will never have to be asked more than once to complete a task. Because they are model citizens they often find themselves in politics, preaching peace and stability. They are intrinsically motivated and uninterested in material things and money. They will perform a job or task because it is what needs to be done and is for the better of everyone, rather than the benefit of themselves.

Relationships:

Being a parasitic species Jiwa do not reproduce sexual, rather they reproduce asexually by budding. Using regenerative cells the Jiwa will start to produce and grow a bud before it detaches from them to create a new Jiwa. Often when choosing to produce a new Jiwa the “mother” parasite will have a host ready for offspring, more often than not a terminally ill infant, but adult hosts are still an option.Because they do not need sex to reproduce it is a foreign concept to the Jiwa. Most Jiwa tend to be on the asexual spectrum preferring to spend quality time getting to know their friends and partners as they are drawn to knowledge and experiences. Nothing is more precious to Jiwa than time as they know it is a finite concept for their hosts and their species. Jiwa can live forever, but not their hosts, thus to spend time with one another is the most precious thing in the Universe to them.

Appearance:

As Xoia grow on their home planet, they looks like any natural gemstone. Once they mature it's then they break off from their planet and start to descend into space. As they fall Xoia start to form into humanoid creatures, taking on the appearance of a human male or female. Though their gem traits are kept in the color and shine of their eyes, hair, and nails. These traits make it very easy to tell a Xoia apart from any other race, but are still unique to the individual gem. Though height, build, and age appearance vary from gem to gem, most Xoia are in the average range and their looks tend to range around the age of twenty-two to thirty.

Personality:

Xoia’s personality very heavily depends on their gem type and the influence of the people around them when they arrive on their new planet. They can be anywhere on the good to evil scale, varying from person to person, however each gem has specific traits taken directly from the gems they are. For example: Agate based gems are protective, while Amethyst based Xoia tend to be more intelligent. All Xoia tend to be loyal towards their own, but even more so when the other Xoia is of the same gem type as them. Because the Xoia grow in nurseries of the same gemstone on their home planet, each same gem is considered family. The most loyal Xoia are those that grow from the same strain of gems becoming siblings the minute they start growing and forming a bond that is usually unbreakable.

Relationships:

Relationships for Xoia are complicated due to them not having the same experiences as humans and other earth based species. Early on they struggle to form solid bonds due to learning the ways of life on their new planet. Once they are older, their relationships are influenced by their experiences. Some gems struggle more than others to connect with those around them, but once they are bonded they can be insanely loyal and protective.

Application Notes:

If joining as a fused Xoia, your character will be permanently fused together for all interactions in the in-character group chats and threads. We will allow self-paragraphs to explore your character's gems coming together to fuse into one.

  • Powers: Light refraction, crystallization, holographs, light saturation, and fusion.

Rank: B~D Tier

History:

Unlike humans Xoia aren’t born, unlike sins they aren’t created either. The Xoia are grown, nobody really knows why their planet is able to grow gems out of the ground, but it can. While growing the gems are vaguely aware of each other. They don’t experience childhood the same way as earthlings, instead they are in a coma-like state, aware they exist and others around them exist, but no obvious consciousness to speak of. Once the Xoia reach the age of thirteen they are released from their planet and sent all over the galaxy. A majority of the the gems descend to earth, taking on a humanoid appearance as they fall into another planet's orbit.Usually the Xoia find themselves landing in bodies of water as it’s safer for them, they do this to avoid large impacts that could damage their gem-like bodies. Xoia are more often than not taken in by other communities so that they can learn from them. This often influences the way a gem will behave and interact with others. On rare occasions Xoia will stick to each other and learn by themselves, this is more often the case with sibling or twin gems, but singular Xoia have also been known to do this.Xoia have been around since the dawn of time, leaving parts of them behind where they travel. Whether it be through death or their crystal like skin chipping off. These aliens never die of natural causes, these beings stand tall among other Immortals, able to live forever as long as they aren’t physically destroyed. Their abilities only growing stronger as they age, able to control them better and for longer with the passing of time and practice.

Abilities:

Xoia abilities mostly revolve around light and the way it interacts with gems. They can use light refraction in a number of ways such as bending the light around them. They are able to make themselves seem invisible as long as they are perfectly still, moving causes the light to bounce, dispelling the illusion. The same goes if the person they are trying to trick is moving around them. With their light refraction Xoia are able to make holographic projections, though these objects aren’t solid they can seem very real, but with a trained and experienced eye you can see the slight shimmer they have to them.Xoia have the ability to crystalize their bodies, making them much harder than human bodies, and making them much tougher in a fight. This crystallization can also reflect any light, however it is unpredictable in how it will reflect. With their abilities to adapt and change light they are able to change the brightness and darkness of colors. The more advanced and older the Xoia the more they can use this ability.Fusion is a very special ability to the Xoia, this allows two gems to fuse together to become one. This state is reversible, but takes a great amount of energy, practice, and knowledge to do so. If done incorrectly, the fused gems risk destroying one another. Upon Fusion the two Xoia become one, this means all memories from two previous Xoia are accessible, but the fused Xoia become one mind. When they fuse, some personality traits from each will be kept, while other aspects are discarded. It is impossible to pick which personality traits each Xoia will bring to the table once Fusion is achieved, so fusion always works best when the two gems trust each other well.

Rank: D Tier

History:

The Universe is all about balance, where there is life, there is also death. The physical body of a being might die, but the soul is something that lives on. A person’s soul is one of the most precious items in the Universe, often they are sought after by Dark Witches for more power– consuming the soul for themselves, or they’re sought out for money, selling them to others to consume for power. The consumption and death of souls are what tip the balance in the Universe, and everytime the Universe loses a precious soul, it weeps. Souls are not meant to be reaped away from the Universe, they are supposed to rest, regain their energy before joining the Universe as a star. These souls shine brightly in the night sky as stars, enjoying their place among the Universe, but once a millenia something special happens to these soul stars. When enough soul stars are next to each other they start to migrate towards one another, slowly filling in the gaps between them till they fuse together to create a Celestial. Due to being made out of soul stars these Aliens are born with the knowledge and experiences of the souls used to give them life.Intelligent and empathetic these Aliens often find themselves travelling to the planet where a majority of the soul stars lived. When a Celestial chooses to spend their life on Earth, they can be found in positions of power and intelligence. Often these Aliens become doctors, lawyers, professors, engineers, etc. With all the knowledge they are born with, it is their natural instinct to want to share with the world and create a positive impact.

Abilities:

Born in space as fully grown adults, Celestials are able to breathe in space. They are also gifted with the ability of flight so they may bring themselves to a planet to settle down on. Once on these planets with the work of gravity most Celestials can float rather than fly as it takes an incredible amount of power to go against gravity.Celestials already born with great knowledge are able to retain great amounts of information giving them an enhanced intelligence. These Aliens are able to communicate in many different ways. Due to all the soul stars that gave them life, they are multilingual. Celestials are also able to communicate telepathically with other Celestials when in close distance. They are unable to read the minds of others around them, but if another being lets them, they are able to share thoughts and mental images with a mind meld. Gently touching forehead to forehead this creates a link between the Celestial and other being, allowing them to communicate telepathically so long as they stay connected.

Appearance:

The height and build of a Celestial varies much like most Humans, but what makes them stand out is their eyes and skin. Their irises are mixed with different shades of purples, pinks, and blues, mimicking the look of galaxies. Their skin is covered in star-like freckles, an homage to the soul stars that gave them life. Their hair is wavy, often long and flowing for both men and women. Though when it reaches a long enough length Celestials often donate their hair to make wigs for those in need of them.

Personality:

Celestials are very empathetic beings, they connect strongly to many different races and subspecies due to being made up of so many different souls. Their knowledge is vast and they always crave for more making the best students with near perfect photographic memories. They love to share this knowledge too, often excited to tell those close to them about "fun facts." This can often make them seem like know-it-alls as they often correct people on their information without a second thought. They mean no harm by it, but it's sometimes difficult for them in social situations where people do not know them well and their true intentions.Celestials enjoy partaking in activism as they are extremely passionate in the stances they take. They are great public speakers, able to stand before a crowd of thousands and not flinch or get nervous in the slightest.

Relationships:

Being in a relationship with a Celestial is never a dull moment. They truly enjoy sharing everything they do with their partners, all their passions, hopes, and dreams they share with those that they love. Quality time is one of their top love languages. Whether it's just cuddled up in bed together reading at the end of the day, participating in volunteer work, or getting them involved with their projects. Celestials are also great listeners, they are able to tell when their partners need an ear or a shoulder to cry on. They genuinely care and always want to know what's going on in their partner's lives.

Pride

  • Eyes: Grey

  • Height: Typically Tall

  • Build: Muscular and Statuesque

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Stone-like skin, curved horns, large leathery bat-like wings, incredibly beautiful.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Thriving in the night, sunlight weakens the personification of pride, which is why most stay in their statue form during daylight hours.

  • Powers: Impenetrable skin, claw that can cut steel, flight, super-human strength and stamina.

Rank: A Tier

History:

Deadly Sins of Pride represent and are an embodiment of insufferable pride. The representation of the universe’s arrogance with lack of humility. Staring in the 13th century, these creatures appeared to be decorations in churches and cathedrals. They were said to ward off evil spirits, but in reality these Sin's arrogance wanted mortals to look up at them, ogle at their beauty and wonder how they got where they were. The irony of taking their place on such Godly buildings was not lost on them and only fueled their arrogance and pride. Soon these Sins spread across the world, appearing on any building they deemed beautiful enough to perch themselves upon.At night they slipped down the walls of these holy buildings taking a humanoid form, blending in with mortals. Though weakened by the sunlight, a Deadly Sin of Pride comes alive at night. They were well known to host lively parties that were the envy of all. It is this kind of envy that fills a Deadly Sin of Pride with the most profound pleasure.

Abilities:

Deadly Sins of Pride are weak to the sunlight, much like Nightwalkers, the difference being that it saps away their energy, making them vulnerable to attack. They combat this weakness by turning themselves into stone. As a statue, they are impossible to kill or harm.Nowadays, a Deadly Sin of Pride only returns to its stone form during the daylight hours, but if they become exhausted or push themselves too hard, they can wind up petrified in place. It takes a lot to get a Deadly Sin of Pride to this level of exhaustion.Skilled in aerial combat, a Deadly Sin of Pride has the potential to take down enemies by land or air. Their claws are strong enough to slice through steel, and their hands have the strength to crush bone. If partially hardened in battle, their stone-flesh can shatter swords.Though they might seems as if they are sleeping during the day, they are well aware of what goes on during this time and can see, hear, and feel things around them.

Appearance:

In mortal form, a Deadly Sin of Pride's appearance is one of beauty beyond belief. The women are voluptuous with shapely figures and charm. A male is often exceedingly handsome, muscular, and in peak condition.Because they are truly made of stone, a Deadly Sin of Pride weighs ten times more than what they might appear to be in their mortal form. If viewed closely, fine white lines can be found across their whole body; these lines glow with soft light before they transform or in times of high emotion.

Personality:

As the embodiment of Pride, they are selfish, spoiled creatures. Their lives are warped around things that will bring them attention. To be second place not an option for a Deadly Sin of Pride. They have to be the best in everything, no matter how mundane that thing may be. Sensitive towards their looks, insulting a Deadly Sin of Pride will likely end in near death if unlucky enough to receive a swift death. When, and only when, it benefits them, they can be charming and amusing. They play pretend better than any actor and know how to manipulate scenarios in their own favor.

Relationships:

As with most things in their lives and homes, Deadly Sins of Pride are exceptionally picky about their friends and partners. Because everything about them has to be the best, so do those around them. They hold people in their lives to impossible standards.Should a Deadly sin of Pride fancy someone, they are possessive and greedy of their partner’s time and lives. They will monopolize them until others cannot hope to get in between. They do not share, what is theirs is theirs. It does not matter to a Deadly Sin of Pride what their partner might want or need. Their own selfish whims will always come first. They will only bond with one person in their lifetime, but that is not to say they are monogamous. Though they keep their chosen partner forever, they will likely pursue others outside of that relationship.

Appearance:

Sins of greed are naturally born beautiful, but it is their greed and need for more that slowly starts to alter their appearance into something "ugly." As their greed grows so does their features, at first their nose starts to grow long and pointed, next their fingers elongating with sharp and pointy nails.Just like they are attracted to all things shiny and pretty, the transformation they go through into something less than perfect is something they cannot mentally handle. Thus they use magic to transform into a form that they consider to be most beautiful, the result means you can never be sure what a sin of greed truly looks like. In their natural form sins of greed are small in stature which they usually hide when taking on other forms.

Personality:

Sins of greed are insatiable, constantly seeking things to keep for themselves. Be it jewels, gold, treasures, animals or people they will keep anything and everything that they decide is good enough for their attention and desire to have in their collection. Once something is considered part of their collection they are awfully protective and possessive over it, they will fight to the death to keep what they consider theirs even if others do not consider it worth fighting over. They are sneaky, greedy, and do not handle criticism well at all. They will happily insult others, but find it hard to be insulted in return and have a nasty streak when they feel like it. Very much slaves to their whims they can easily drop something as quickly as they became fixated with it especially if they find something better that catches their eye.Their greed doesn’t stop at things either, they are greedy over literally everything, money, food, land, they can easily consider everything theirs and will not accept anyone telling them otherwise. Sins of greed can have an incredibly mean streak when they believe they are being looked down upon, people are being rude or are trying to steal from them and become very argumentative with people they dislike.

Relationships:

Sins of greed struggle with relationships of all kinds, they are possessive, aggressive and territorial. This makes it very hard for them to truly connect to people and see them as more than just objects for them to own, that being said if the relationship can get past the initial bumps they can be fiercely loyal and protective. Despite struggling with relationships, sins of greed seek out new friendships and relationships, always having room for more things within their collections.

Greed

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Dark

  • Height: Short

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Pointed noses, dark slanted eyes, shorter than average, insatiable need and want for more.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Physically weak due to small stature, having what is 'theirs' taken away from them, lightning.

  • Powers: Shapeshifting, golden touch, and enhanced speed.

Rank: D Tier

History:

Created when enough greed is gathered in the universe, sins of greed aren’t born ‘ugly.’ In fact when they are first created as full adults they are quite a beautiful sight but as the greed gets to them that beauty fades away. The greedier that a sin of greed is the ‘uglier’ their natural form will appear. Before the supernatural world was revealed to Humans, sins of greed were often referred to as gremlins. They would get up to mischief and in some cases be malicious towards Humans and their possessions. Often breaking things in some fashion, moving things around and just causing general mischief. On occasions where they took a particular dislike to someone or wanted something that person owned, the mischief would go from harmless pranks to actual malicious intentions, purposefully causing harm to get what they want.In the past the sins of greed lived alone in grottoes that were elaborately decorated with the things they had collected, their grottoes became a safe place. A refuge where they could truly be themselves and revel in their greed without worrying about appearance. It was the one place that sins of greed let their fake appearance drop, allowing their true selves to show and shine.

Abilities:

Sins of greed are masters of shapeshifting, whether it be their entire appearance or just part of it. If a sin of greed shapeshifts you would find it difficult to tell what they truly are. The downside to having such a strong shapeshifting ability is they struggle to keep it up if they are tired, stressed out or highly emotional.Along with being masters of shapeshifting these sins have the touch of gold, able to turn metal into gold. The larger the item the more draining it is on the sin and the higher risk of injury or death. It is also harder to transform objects with less metal in, the smaller and more metal in the object the easier it is for the object to be changed.Due to their naturally small stature sins of greed are fast, easily able to keep up with most species, using this speed to their own advantage to torment and trick Humans. Playing their pranks without ever getting caught.

  • Powers: Seduction and charm; their lust is so powerful it can become addictive. Telepathic and omnilingual.

Rank: C Tier

History:

When enough lustful energy in the universe is gathered, it produces the personification of the third deadly sin. Born into the world as full adults the form they choose is immortal so long as they feed on what they are, lust.Sins of Lust are attracted to the energy that created them and will seek out partners that can sustain them. When laying with a sin of lust it will leave their partners drained of energy, exhausted, and on a high. This is why Sins of Lust cannot lay with others of their kind, each will syphon off the other's energy, causing them both to wither.

Abilities:

To enhance their charm, Sins of Lust are omnilingual, able to use their silver tongues on any of their victims. Though speaking to them is something unusual as they much prefer to use their telepathy to project their voices in other's minds. Sins of Lust come in various shapes and sizes, tall and muscular, short and lithe, everyone has a different type and Sins of Lust offer a wide variety to choose from. One thing is certain, Sins of Lust are the most beautiful creatures anyone will lay their eyes on.There are key defining features of a sin of lust that make them undeniably them. Each sin of lust comes with a small pair of leathery bat like wings on their back with a long leathery tail with a triangle point to match. These they are not able to hide, but they are able to retract the small horns on their head along with with claws.

Personality:

Sins of Lust like those who share the same interests as them. They like to take risks, indulge in not only their own sin, but others as well. So when they find a person who is 'pure' and too innocent, they find them boring, dull, and they will not hold back with their thoughts. When it comes to corruption, that's a different tune. Someone who is 'innocent' but not completely pure of heart, is a sin of lust's favorite play toy.

Relationships:

Sins of Lust can be quite fickle creatures. They love when someone is willing to chase them while they tease. It's not easy for them to love, lust tends to win over everything else. When they do find love, it's new to them, something unfamiliar and causes them to act quite the opposite of their usual self. They become easily embarrassed, stumble over their words, a soft blush crosses their cheeks. They become weak around the ones that stole their heart, though, this does not stop them from stealing other's hearts.Needing to feed on lust to keep alive, Sins of Lust will never lay with one person alone. With enough exposure to the personified sin, their partner will quite quickly become addicted until all they can think about is the sin and sleeping with them. They're addicted to the sin like any hard drug and to go without sex with the sin drives them into withdrawal like symptoms.

Appearance:

Like most spiders, even in their human form Sins of Envy are pear shaped, a thinner torso with a thicker backside and thighs, with very long legs. Graceful in everything they do, Sins of Envy often make great models in human form.In their half-spider form these Sins are in the range of seven to eight feet tall. From the hips up they maintain their humanoid form, but from the hips down their body turns into the abdomen of a spider adorned with eight long spider legs. When they are in their full spider form, they are just like any other spider, it is impossible to tell a Sin of Envy from that of a normal spider.

Personality:

Not only do these Sins love to be envied whether it's on their looks, success, their lifestyle, they are also quick to become jealous and envious of others for the slightest and smallest of reasons. Because of their desire to be envied, when faced with others in their field they will constantly compare themselves to the others. Even the slightest of differences that can lead a Sin of Envy to turn green with jealousy and cause them to act out, usually sabotaging their viewed competition.

Relationships:

Jealous lovers they are constantly questioning their partners on their true feelings. Often turning nothing into something such as taking emoji-ing an SNS post and turning it into an affair. Sins of Envy need their partner's attention 24/7, the slightest pause in texting or glance away in conversation and it will start a huge fight.

Rank: A Tier

History:

The story of Arachne and Athena was not that far off from the truth. The difference being that Arachne did not start out as a woman, and the universe did not turn women into spiders, it was the opposite. Sins of Envy's original forms were those of spiders, that over time, evolved to better blend in with the world around them.Sins of Envy are now able to take hold of three forms, that of a spider, a human, and that of a half-spider half-human hybrid from. Tall as humans these Sins also tower over people in their hybrid form. Around seven to eight feet tall they are something to be awed at and to be feared. At first these Sins were amazing spies, able to turn into a spider and hide in spaces no one would think to look, they quickly got bored with such a job. There was no enough praise, to be hidden from the world when they are magnificent creatures? A crime. Soon these Sins tried to make themselves as public as possible loving to feel the envy that others had for them. It fueled them on in pursuing careers in fashion and entertainment.

Abilities:

Aside from being able to transform from a humanoid figure, to a half-spider figure, to a full-spider figure, these Sins also come with a deadly pair of fangs. At will, they are able to bite an enemy and inject them with venom. Over the next eight hours these victims will feel their pain increase exponentially, their bodies will gain a fever and start to ache, their abdomen will grow ridged and start to horribly cramp as the bite wound turns into an ulcer. Depending on how strong the person's immune system and how quickly they are able to get a hospital they may or maynot die.Another ability that they're naturally gifted with is weaving. Whether it be in the traditional sense, crocheting, knitting, etc. They are skilled in making clothes, blankets, quilts, rugs, some even go into basket weaving with the ability to make their own furniture and ornaments. • Powers: Able to spread a contagiousness of sloth ranging from procrastination, over sleeping, and self-neglect depending on how long they've been exposed.

Rank: F Tier

History:

Sins of Sloth are known for their iridescent eyes and beautiful butterfly wings. These wings though do not give them the ability of flight, even if they could, they would most likely be too exhausted and lazy to use the energy it would take to get them up in the air. The energy used by the universe to create them is probably the most amount of energy these Sins have ever exerted.Out of all the energy collected in the universe, the collection and personification of Sloth are the least motivated to go out and find creatures for them to corrupt. Beautiful in their creation it helps lure potential victims into their trap of laziness. Victims of circumstance they are, as Sins of Sloth do not try and make victims of the people attracted to them, if anything they are looking for a commensalism symbiotic relationship rather than a parasitic one, but it is rather difficult to find those who are unaffected by Sloth.

Abilities:

Sins of Sloth spread a contagious like essence of laziness. The more exposed you are to a Sin of Sloth, the worse the outcome is. Light exposure can result in procrastination from small tasks all the way to large tasks with deadlines for school or work. Medium exposure can lead to hitting the snooze button a few too many times resulting in oversleeping, potentially sleeping over fourteen hours in one sitting. Extended exposure can lead to self-neglect, going days without bathing, brushing one's teeth, changing clothes, eating, drinking water, which can ultimately lead to an eternal slumber, death.

Appearance:

Gorgeous creatures they're often confused with Faeries, but unlike their winged comparisons, their sizes do not change. Instead of translucent wings, Sins of Sloth have wings that look like butterflies. These wings are large enough to wrap around themselves much like a blanket. As Sins of Sloth are low maintenance they are often found without any makeup on, their hair is kept short so there is no need for styling, or if it gets rather long it is tied up in a messy bun or ponytail. When it comes to clothing they do not seem to care about designer or name brands, they just want to wear something soft, comfortable, and warm to sleep in.

Personality:

Sins of Sloth are incredibly lazy to a fault. Often they are too lazy to feed or bathe themselves. Their need to sleep outweighs all other needs to them. When they are not sleeping they are often lounging around eating snacks watching some sort of entertainment whether it be shows, movies, or online videos. They love to do nothing, which is why finding a job is difficult for them. Unable to get out of their house on a good day, Sins of Sloth often work from home doing some sort online work, call center work, or review work.

Relationships:

Contrary to popular belief, Sins of Sloth are attracted to those with strong will, who are able to resist their sinful nature. Sins of Sloth are often too lazy to take care of themselves, they rely heavily on a partner that can do acts of service and personal care for them. If they happen to be in a relationship with someone who is weak willed, the chance the two of them will fall into an eternal sleep is high. To avoid this with a weak willed partner, often they participate in video chats and acting as if their relationship is long distance even if they happen to live in the same city.

Elementals

  • Lifespan: 1 Billion Years

  • Notable: Short stature, affinity with plants and burrowing creatures like rabbits, badgers and crawling insects, often barefoot

  • Powers: Earth, clay, sand, and stone manipulation, can walk through anything made of earth, affinity with nature, little control over metal, earth embodiment.

Rank: C Tier

History:

When the Universe was created, it decided to give life to our planet. To sustain that life the Universe gifted us with the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. With these elements came those meant to guard and protect them. The Elementals. These beings are able to manipulate and use their specific element to perform feats of magic and draw power and strength from being in contact with said element. The Gnomes were born from under the ground; from stone, sand, dirt, and metal. Because they came from beneath, with the weight of the earth upon them, they appeared with a shorter stature than the other Elementals. They are the beings who helped use the life force in the earth to help things grow with the aid of the other elements. When they are all in balance, the world works perfectly because all of them are required. When they are in discord, the elements can only destroy one another, each being the weakness of the others.

Abilities:

Earth, clay, stone, and sand manipulation comes natural to all Gnomes. They are able to move, shape, and rebuild earth elements with ease. With age comes a deeper harnessing of this power and the ability to heal the earth. If a Gnome comes across a piece of nature that is dying, they are able to revive and give that part of earth life again. This takes a great deal of power form them and they feel exhausted, but fully satisfied with being able to help.A select few Gnomes are able to manipulate metal. It is a skill that also takes time, practice, and patients when dealing with the minerals in earth specifically rather than the full element.

Appearance:

Gnomes are easily identifiable by their short stature, long earth toned hair, and stunning hazel or green eyes. When surrounded in their element their sun kissed skin glows and there is a rosey color to their cheeks and the tip of their noses. They are often found with flowers in their hair and wearing earth tones mixed with bright floral colors. One article of clothing they often go without are shoes. Gnomes are almost always barefoot as it grounds them to their element. When they wear shoes they feel a disconnect from the earth that makes them anxious and uncomfortable.

Personality:

Gnomes are generally distrusting of Humans and Elementals of other elements. They prefer to keep to themselves though there are, of course, a few adventurous weirdos who try to make friends with strangers. They mind their own business and expect others to do the same.To call a Gnome stubborn is an understatement. These creatures rarely budge from their stance and will get others to cave before they do.

Relationships:

They are extreme lovers of nature and friends to all who help nature flourish. Light Witches, Familiars, and Faefolk are the easiest for them to get along with as they are are tied to nature and Earth in one way or another. If a Gnome fancies someone they will often give presents of flowers, plants, fruits, and vegetables. Sharing their love for nature with the one that they love. Gifts of flower crowns and dates in the forest or botanical gardens are some of the Gnomes favorites.

Appearance:

Undines look generally unassuming with their dark hair and rather average height and build...and then you look into their eyes. Ocean colors, they are as deep as the ocean and just as alluring. Some find their gaze comforting and reassuring. An undine will be on either the sickly, pale or more tan sides of the spectrum. Very rarely are they anywhere in between. Usually keeping their hair long, it provides them with cover under the water, allowing them to camouflage as seaweed or algae to anyone looking from above.Long limbs, pale skin and soft eyes, they look deceptively fragile. Undines, like all elementals, are stronger than they look, even without the use of their element.

Personality:

Undines are very gentle and personable people for the most part. Like the water that they are part of, they value and choose to sustain life. They're very attentive to the needs of others and often have an idea of what someone needs even before they do.Stubborn like nothing else, an Undine will hold their viewpoint or stance without yielding and will actively carve away at the opposition like a current carving away at stone. They will hold their ground and wear you down until you either agree or agree to disagree. They are very hard to convince of something they haven't seen with their own two eyes.

Relationships:

Undines are caring and nurturing. In their friendships, they are often the caretaker and making sure that those around them are comfortable or provided for. They are unendingly neat and clean and will not tolerate friends or partners being in an unclean environment. That doesn't mean that they won't sit there and glare until said partner or friend cleaned up a mess they've made.
Endlessly supportive of those they care about, an undine friend or lover will always have your back when it comes to reaching your goals or achieving your dreams.
Undines tend to go with the flow and adapt, so when it comes to the number of partners, it's up to how the relationship is progressing. They understand the communication is key and are very good at it, so never be scared to tell an undine friend or lover how you are truly feeling.

Undine

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Dark Brown to Black

  • Eyes: Ocean Blue to Turquoise

  • Height: Average

  • Build: Thin and Long-Limbed

  • Lifespan: 1 Billion Years

Rank: C Tier

History:

When the Universe was created, it decided to give life to our planet. To sustain that life the Universe gifted us with the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. With these elements came those meant to guard and protect them. The Elementals. These beings are able to manipulate and use their specific element to perform feats of magic and draw power and strength from being in contact with said element.Undines are born of the water. The moistures in the atmosphere condensed and formed the oceans, rivers, lakes and streams we know today and filled them with beings who would protect them. Long-limbed and graceful, undines are both gentle and unyielding like the tides against the shore. They provided the one thing that ensured life could exist: water. Humans were born of the water and all creatures continue to need it in order to survive. Without the undines and their element, there would be no life at all, the whole world an empty desert. They are the beings that allowed for the building blocks of life to commence and be sustained. When they are all in balance, the world works perfectly because all of them are required. When they are in discord, the elements can only destroy one another, each being the weakness of the others.

Abilities:

Water manipulation is the skill that comes most easy and most naturally to to undines when they begin to use their element. They are the water and moving it comes as naturally as breathing does for everything else.Because they are able to manipulate water, they are able to swim incredibly well and very fast, purify water that has been contaminated or soiled, and they are able to draw moisture from everything around them in the absence of flowing water.
Undines are drawn to water much like the fish that live in it. They are able to swim much like them as well. Not only able to hold their breaths for long periods of time with training, they are able to easily propel themselves through water by moving it around themselves the way it flows seamlessly around other swimming creatures like dolphins or whales.
When they encounter a water source that has been poisoned or contaminated, with a lot of concentration, they are able to draw the clean water out of it. This takes a lot of energy and cannot be done when the contaminants are more than the amount of water.Because there cannot be flowing or running water everywhere, undines are skilled at detecting moisture and drawing it out from the air or under the earth. This can also be used to draw moisture from living creatures, but that is a frowned upon practice.
Very rarely, some undines are able to turn water into ice, freezing it as they manipulate it. This takes a significant amount of mental aptitude, concentration and skill. It's difficult to both manipulate the water while also manipulating the temperature of the water.

Sylph

Characteristics:

  • Eyes: White

  • Height: Tall

  • Build: Thin and willowy

  • Lifespan: 1 Billion Years

  • Notable: Soft-spoken, uninterested, daydreamers, short attention spans, unaffected by temperature, eerie.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: humidity makes the air heavier and harder to control, fire just needs one opening before it consumes all the air available, earth slows air down and can trap it easily in one place.

  • Powers: Super speed, harnessing of wind, control over air pressure, the ability to fly.

The Sylphs are born of the air. The wind came from the four cardinal directions and coalesced into tangible beings. Willowy and lithe, Sylphs are both gentle and wild in a way that can only be attributed to the wind. They provide the air that is so necessary to life and they are the reason Humans were able to voyage across the seas and skies. The air slows their falls and speeds up their travels while also propagating the seeds and pollen of their plants. They are the beings who helped Humans spread across the world and find new land to occupy and new ways to get around. When they are all in balance, the world works perfectly because all of them are required. When they are in discord, the elements can only destroy one another, each being the weakness of the others.

Abilities:

Wind manipulation comes the easiest and most natural to sylphs. They are the air and moving it comes as easily as moving themselves. Because they move the air, they are able to, with practice, affect things such as air pressure, air resistance, and the press of air down against them. The air they move is entirely under their control and they are able to both add and remove air for different purposes. If a sylph is trying to get somewhere quickly, they can very easily remove the air from just in front and beside them to cut down on the friction and resistance of the air, giving them a supernaturally heightened speed.Because they can add and remove air at will, they are quite gifted when it comes to flying. Rather than lifting off, they remove the push of the air above them. They create wings of wind which are able to lift them easily into the air. This addition and removal of air also gives them the power to affect air pressure.Sylphs were said to control storms, but the truth is they simply lower air pressure enough that clouds naturally come to fill the void, bringing their storms with them.Extremely skilled sylphs are able to manipulate sound waves because sound cannot travel where there is no air. They are able to speak to people long distances away or deafen others by removing the air around their ears so the sound waves never reach them.

Appearance:

Tall and willowy, Sylphs often look like a strong gust of wind might blow them away. They are generally light haired; blond, white or silver hair if not dyed adorns their heads. They appear almost see-through and ephemeral, almost as if they are a ghost. This is just an illusion mostly caused by them constantly affecting their air sound them in various ways.Their eyes are grey/white except for the pupil which remains black. This adds to the general eerie impression they give off to the people around them. They seems to constant be starting off into the distance as if listening to something only they can hear, which is entirely a possibility.

Personality:

Sylphs have personalities that vary from breezy and sweet to sharp and hostile, much like the wind itself. They have short attention spans because they can hear almost anything if they listen hard enough. Sometimes even by accident. Some are avid gossips, so if there's anything you want to know, ask a Sylph.Around those they are close to, they are less soft spoken and more eager to talk and share. They are warm and affectionate like a breeze on a sunny day. They're also rather possessive of their friends and partners.Around strangers, they tend to be a bit stand-offish but that's because their rather intimidating appearance freaks people out. They are usually pretty gentle and their feelings are easily hurt, so they'd rather be hostile before they can be rejected. Many Sylphs dye their hair or wear contacts because of this.

Relationships:

Sylphs are said to be soulless, and therefore soulmates are hard to find. This is untrue. Sylphs are generally quite soft with those they are close to and can be extreme king loving friends or partners.Being rather private and territorial, they usually take only one lover at a time though they are flighty and these relationships don't necessarily last very long.

Appearance:

A Salamander's ginger hair mixed with their amber eyes are a dead give away to who they are. Their skin has a natural glow around it as if they are radiating light. Tall and lithe in stature they know how to move their bodies gracefully like the flickering of a flame. They are usually found wearing black as they love to accentuate the color in their hair and eyes. Salamander's love to stand out from a crowd and to have attention on them. They are fans of gold as it has a low melting point, making it easy for them to manipulate and shape it.

Personality:

They are very passionate and intense individuals. They put their all into everything they choose to pursue. Charming and social, Salamanders find it easy to make friends with everyone. They enjoy social settings and interacting with others, they feel a closeness to mortal life as they are the reason for their successes. Without fire, mortal life would not exist.Slightly arrogant, Salamanders know that they are attractive and use that to their advantage. They enjoy being the center of attention and will often do 'magic tricks' with their fire to gain attention and woo the audience they have no matter how big or small.

Relationships:

Fiery and passionate lovers, Salamander's romantic relationships usually start out hot and heavy, but fizzle and die out over time. A flame is free and just like fire Salamanders do not like to be tied down and suffocated. It is hard to keep their focus on one person for too long, they often enjoy having multiple partners at once.Loving to play devil's advocate they are playful and often like getting into fiery debates. They do not take things too seriously and will often try and sooth their victims of devil's advocacy. They find it cute when others get worked up and heated.

  • Powers: Fire manipulation and generation, ability to use fire to heal themselves, temperature control of heat sources, little control of electricity, fire embodiment.

The Salamanders were born from fire. Tall and lithe these Elementals are graceful in their movements and passionate in everything they do. They gave the world light in the dark, warmth from the cold, and a way to cook their food. Without the Salamanders mortals would have died off long ago. They are the beings who helped use the life force in fire to help advance life with the aid of the other elements. When they are all in balance, the world works perfectly because all of them are required. When they are in discord, the elements can only destroy one another, each being the weakness of the others.

Abilities:

Fire manipulation and generation comes easy to Salamanders for they are at their core, fire. They are able to change the temperature, strength, and growth of fire not created by them. The fire that they do create is fully under their control, they can even control if the fire burns or if it's more for showing off.If injured Salamanders are able to use their element of fire to heal themselves. Putting their injuries in the flame will slowly heal the wound and after a few minutes it was like they were never injured in the first place.Few Salamanders are able to manipulate electricity, this takes time and discipline to keep at trying to gain control of the electrical currents. If choosing to pursue this ability, it is often Salamanders will blow circuits or heat the device causing it to explode.

Elves

The Elves are pointy eared beings able to enter a meditative state, aware of all their surroundings rather than sleep. These beings are connected to certain aspects of nature where they draw their powers from.

Avariel

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Silver, White, or Black

  • Eyes: Brilliant Blue, Green, or Purple

  • Height: Average, but small for Elves

  • Lifespan: 500 Million Years

  • Build: Delicate with hollow bones to aid flight

  • Notable: Wings, pointy ears, big eyes, and incredibly beautiful voices.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Hand to hand combat, loss of sight, fire, and keeping grounded.

  • Powers: Meditative State, flight, aerial combat, winged animal communication, and flight bestowal.

Rank: B Tier

History:

The Avariel Elves are no strangers to war, a large number of them having been wiped out by the winged beast’s known back then as Dragons. Their numbers fewer than their High Elf cousins, but greater than their Drow cousins. These Elves have learned to be evasive. They have learned to fly in small groups rather than covering the sky with their feathered wings. Unlike their Mithral cousins Avariel Elves don’t care about justice they care about survival and personal prosperity. Where the Mithrals would have held a grudge and made the Dragons pay for their misdeeds, the Avariel forgave and worked on becoming faster, stronger and better. Before the Humans took over Avariel Elves would spend their time soaring through the air, training to use bows and light weighted swords that they themselves crafted to their advantage. They mingled between their Elven cousins, Mithral, Moon and Drow alike. Enjoying each one for their own individual quirks and traits, along with enjoying their time with their own kind. Avariel Elves would often spend time with other races providing songs with their mesmerising voices, particularly fond of the Corvus race and fascinated with Guardians. Due to their lower numbers however many races have considered them myths for years, all but a whisper of the long lost Elven cousins. When the order to hide was given the Avariels obeyed at once, after all it was not their job to question the High Elf orders, but as they remained hidden and isolated in the highest peaks of the mountains the Avariels began to question the judgement of their cousins. They had survived the dragons that would force them out of the sky surely they could survive the two legged creatures that couldn’t even reach them. How wrong they were. Exposing themselves to the Humans the Avariel Elves once again experienced heavy casualty leaving the race wounded both physically and mentally. Their once positive attitude facing the question of are Human’s far to dangerous to be allowed to live? Since the shut down of the Humans, Avariel Elves have been more reclusive than ever. They know they have experienced two great tragedies and they would like to avoid a third. Their desire for companionship, self growth, and forgiveness often winning out over self preservation, getting this race to reveal itself more than it probably would like.

Abilities:

All Elves can enter a Meditative State, for most this isn’t sleep just deep meditation which they use instead of sleep allowing them to be aware of what is going on around them, perfectly intune with their surroundings while resting and is used instead of actual sleep.Due to their wings which span between 12 to 16 feet along with their hollowed bones Avariel Elves have the ability to fly, able to travel great distances before tiring the faster they go the shorter the distance they can fly. While Avariels can carry objects and people, the heavier the object the hard time they have of flying at speed or large distances.Avariels are extremely adept at aerial combat. Avariel children are trained on how to fly at a young age. Once they have mastered flight they are taught the art of aerial combat. Agile and quick they have the advantage over others with their weapons specifically designed with flight combat in mind.Avariel Elves have the ability to communicate with all winged species, be that birds, insects, or other humanoid races. Considered a mental ability similar to telepathy the mind just instantly translates for the Avariel Elves so they can communicate without concerns. An Avariel's feather is special, at least when it is given as a gift. If an Avariel Elf grants you one of its feathers, it gives you the power of flight. Known as flight bestowal this allows the receiver to fly for a short period of time. Usually a maximum of an hour at a regular speed. The faster you travel the quicker the gift runs out, taking an Avariel’s feathers by force will not grant this ability, it has to be given as a gift to work.

Appearance:

Shorter than the average Elf, Avariels are considered average in appearance by their cousins. Their prowess doesn’t come from their physical beauty, but their inner beauty. The thing that makes Avariel Elves stand out however are their strikingly bright eyes that are bigger than average, which allows them to see greater distances in the air. Their wings are usually a white color, but have been known to be grey, light brown, and even white with a speckled pattern naturally. The Avariel Elves often partake in the practice of wing dipping, dipping the edges of their wings in a dye to change the tips into any color the Elf desires for a truly unique design to that Elf. Unlike their cousins Avariel Elves do not put so much attention into their hair preferring to keep it neat for flying. It’s usually found in the colors black, silver, or white and kept out of their faces.

Personality:

Avariel Elves are a gentle and forgiving race, they rarely hold a grudge and are quick to forgive if a true apology is given. They can be considered naive at times due to their forgiving nature, but that doesn’t mean they are pushovers. They still can, and will, turn in a heartbeat if pushed too far. With dead accuracy using a bow this is one race you do not want as your enemy. With a focus on personal growth and self enlightenment Avariel Elves usually have quite a spiritual way of thinking, creating a unique perspective most of the time.Avariel Elves feel a large amount of guilt whenever they do something wrong towards another, this is heavily seen in their guilt towards the Drow. Even though they had nothing to do with the Drow’s situation they didn’t stop it either, leading to them feeling bad about the way the Drow ended up living and wanting to make it up to them. When it comes to other races Avariel Elves are friendly and caring, willing to help at any given moment.

Relationships:

A friendship with Avariel Elves is easy to forge and easy to maintain. They are caregivers naturally and this shows in the way they are with their friends. Often doting on them and giving them anything and everything they can, with their friendly nature it’s rare that an Avariel Elf will provide much resistance and often wants to see people as their friends right away. Often treating them as such without really establishing a deep friendship in the first place, with their Elven cousins this is even worse. An Avariel Elf will instantly consider you not only a friend, but a family member whether you like it or not.As a partner Avariel Elves make wonderful companions, loving, giving, caring and overall aim to be the perfect partner for whoever they are dating. They always try to make life as easy as possible for their chosen partner, however they do not do well in polyamorous relationships. Despite having the love for one, they can get quite jealous when their partner pays others attention over themselves. This is the one time that Avariel Elves will become extremely difficult in a relationship and more often than not leads to the end of the romance unless forgiveness is sought out.

Appearance:

Usually dark skinned with a purple or grey hue to it, these Elves stand out against their Elven cousins. Their hair has a lack of color often being white, silver or very light blonde and their eyes have adapted to allow the Drow to see better in the dark than they can in the light. Usually their eyes are hues of red, blue, amber, purple or lavender standing out against their almost colorless skin. Although tall by human standards the Drow are quite average compared to other Elves, their build is slim but athletic to allow them to be able to climb the caves they once called home. Rarely will a Drow be seen out in the day with fewer clothes on, their skin sensitive to light is usually covered up as much as possible without overheating, though at night they prefer less clothing than average.

Personality:

Despite how Mithral Elves and to an extent Moon Elves portray the Drow they are not inherently evil, they do have a rebellious streak which can make it difficult for them to follow orders but they do not go out of their way as a race to do bad things. The circumstances which they found themselves in however has made them more aggressive than they once were, having been hurt before by their own kind they would rather pretend to be evil than let anyone think they actually have feelings that can be hurt again.Although they don’t like showing their feelings to others they are quite charming and are very curious. Having been excluded from the world for so long everything is new and it gives them a child-like wonder about things, though through other races they have heard stories and learned each day nothing beats experiencing it for yourself. If left alone the Drow can live harmoniously however cross the path with a Drow and they are quick to anger and even quicker to retaliate, their grudges can last centuries.

Relationships:

For Drow the easiest relationships to form are with other Drow, as a whole the race has trust issues due to the betrayal of the other Elves making it hard for them to trust anyone other than themselves. They form meaningless relationships quite easily and will take what they want and need without much of a thought about making it something more serious, often opting for more light relationships rather than deep meaningful ones. When they do manage to form a strong romantic connection with someone they are more likely to offer a polyamorous or open relationship so they can experience as much as possible, if you get past the tough exterior of a Drow you will find a race that just wants to be accepted and treated well. This desire to be accepted runs through their friendships too, they can not change who they are so they want people to accept them as is, not try to change them. To try and change a Drow will lead to the end of any kind of friendship instantly, once they make friends they will do just about anything for them making them vulnerable to manipulation but also a fierce friend to have by your side if your intentions are true. They keep their friends for life due to not having many of them and not trusting those around them, most Drow will tell you they only have acquaintances rather than friends. Be careful when trying to make friends with a Drow, you might think you are friends but it takes a lot to get a Drow to open up and it might just be one sided.

Rank: C Tier

History:

At one point in time the Drow lived amongst other Elven races almost peacefully, always a little more on the rebellious side they never liked taking orders but for the sake of the Elves they did as was asked. Serving as guards and assassins for the other Elven races when needed, however when humans came alone the Drow were fascinated with them, enamoured almost with their ability to resist everything and have their own free will. While the Moon and Mithral Elves wanted to give this new baby race a wide berth the Drow did not, they wanted to know more. Wanted to uncover the secret to use it for themselves, use it to allow them the free will to stand separate from the other Elves. When the order was given to go into hiding the Drow took their stand and refused, angering the Mithral Elves most of all and the hunting began. Those that were captured were imprisoned underground, the very few that escaped into the shadows were not seen or heard from again. For centuries the Drow made inhabitable caves their home, many died off from the poison found deep underground, lacking any resistance to it. Weakend, trapped and feeling hopeless, the Drow almost gave up entirely. Ready to give up and die until one of the children born resisted the poison that was killing elders, being exposed to the toxin while their parent was pregnant gave the children natural immunity for a short while. Using this knowledge the Drow began a plan to make them all have a toxin tolerance, allowing them to spend their time working on their abilities until one day they could escape. Generation after generation of Drow lived underground flourishing despite the living conditions until the supernatural take over occurred, it wasn’t meant to free the Drow but free them it did, allowing this rebellious and now enraged race free to do as they please. They blame Mithral Elves for the loss of their elders, they blame Moon Elves for agreeing to them being imprisoned and they blame Avariel Elves for standing by and letting it happen. The anger, betrayal and hurt that the Drow went through has turned them against their own kind, the stories past down only fueling this hatred towards their own and creating a separation in their mind. Although they are happy to hunt down the Mithral Elves they actively avoid the other subspecies wanting nothing to do with them at all.

Abilities:

Although all Elves enter a Meditative State, Drow Elves however use this ability during sleep. Allowing them to be fully aware of their surroundings even while asleep no matter how deep that sleep is.Due to generations of Drow growing up imprisoned underground in less than habitable places the Drow have developed a Poison Tolerance, allowing them to resist most poisons to some degree. Where a poison might cause a human severe pain it will only cause a Drow a slight irritation, where a snake's poison could be lethal to humans to a Drow it will be a minor illness.Audible mimicry allows a Drow to mimic any sound they hear, both natural and man made, they will do so with perfect accuracy confusing even experts. Often used to alert other Drow of what they have found or dangers they are going to face.Shadow Merge allows the Drow to become almost invisible, blending in with the shadows around them to become unnoticeable. Although they are hard to spot when they merge with the shadows movement and their eyes can give them away if someone is searching for them.Shadow Weaponry allows the Drow to create weapons out of the shadows around them, they can not create shadows so they require there to be a shadow nearby for it to work but they can create any kind of physical weapon depending on how big the shadows are. Small shadows would only be able to create daggers and darts whereas bigger shadows could create spears and shields. Much like Solar weaponry they are also able to embed existing weapons with the power of shadows, temporarily blinding any target the weapon strikes.

Mithral

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Gold, Red, or Silver

  • Eyes: Gray or Violet with Gold Flecks

  • Height: Average to Tall

  • Build: Slender

  • Lifespan: 1 Billion Years

  • Notable: Pale or golden skin with golden tint, pointy ears, and above average beauty even for Elves.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Eclipse, night, darkness, arrogance

  • Powers: Meditative state, solar aura, photosynthesis, solar weaponry, and solar healing

Rank: C Tier

History:

Before humans took over Mithral Elves ruled the Elves along with their Moon Elf cousins, known as high Elves, were the most intelligent and protected. They were loved and adored for their beauty and were always sought after by other Elves for their wisdom, along with their Moon Elf cousins the Mithral Elves were the ones to decide that humans should be given a wide berth. Giving the order for all Elves to isolate themselves from the baby race that seemed to be volatile and violent, being very cautious of this new race and its destructive nature. When Drow Elves rebelled against the order it was down to Mithral Elves to track them down and imprison them beneath the surface, with the use of their Solar Aura they were able to blind the Drow and incapacitate them making the task easier. It’s because of this that Mithral Elves have a stronger dislike for the Drow and vice versa, two of theses Elves in the same place is likely to end up in a fight even to this day.Once all Elves were safe away from humans Mithral Elves took to staying high in the trees of dense forests, seeking out the sunlight the top canopy offered, they focused on building up their numbers and growing more intelligent. Rarely interacting with anyone outside of the Moon Elves let alone other races though they have a soft spot for other Nature races such as Gnomes and Faefolk often giving them shelter if found in their forests. To this day they are the most cautious of Elven races, avoiding others where they can and mostly opting to live amongst themselves or Moon Elves as the two compliment each other perfectly.

Abilities:

All Elves can enter a Meditative State, for most this isn’t sleep just deep meditation which they use instead of sleep allowing them to be aware of what is going on around them, perfectly intune with their surroundings while resting and is used instead of actual sleep.Solar Aura allows Mithral Elves to surround themselves with Solar Energy protecting them from physical attacks as the aura can burn as fiercely as the sun, using the ability is heavily taxing for the Mithral and leaves them extremely weakened so is usually used as a last resort.Photosynthesis much like a plant allows Mithral Elves to go extended periods, even possibly sustaining themselves indefinitely as long as they do not have to heal themselves, Mithral also uses photosynthesis in healing themselves.Solar Weaponry has two uses for Mithral Elves, the first being embedding existing weapons with solar power making them more powerful and able to cause burning when they hit their target. The second use is using Solar energy to create a pure solar weapon although made out of pure energy this weapon is entirely solid but holds no weight unlike regular weaponry and can be turned back into energy after.Solar Healing can be used by Mithral Elves to heal themselves using energy from the sun, using Photosynthesis they can use this energy to heal themselves almost completely even growing back missing limbs and non necessary organs. The more they need to heal the more energy they require, often meaning Mithral needs to eat regular food while healing.

Appearance:

Mithral Elves are extremely beautiful even by Elven standards, compared to humans they would be known as ethereal beings due to their beauty. With their pale and golden skin tones with a gold almost glittery tint in the light it’s very obvious to tell a Mithral Elf apart from any other race. If their skin doesn’t give them away their Gray or violet eyes with gold flecks are a big tell of this sub race. Preferring the forest these Elves often turn to natural colors for their clothing to allow them to blend in with their surroundings more, though they have a taste for elaborately decorated things. Along with all other Elves they have pointed ears though their ears tend to be slightly longer, a sign of their high Elf status.

Personality:

These Elves are cautious, more cautious than any other elven race and do not trust other races easily. They have a strong connection with their Moon Elf cousins and let their guard down most easily with this race but even then they are naturally cautious some might even call them paranoid at times. They have a strong sense of morality and very rarely step out of line, they also have a strong sense of justice and believe punishment should always be carried out on those that have broken rules. Mithral Elves like their Moon cousins are extremely arrogant and often believe themselves to be right due to their high intelligence and long lives. Despite this they are extremely loyal and highly protective over those that they care about and will go to great lengths to ensure their safety.

Relationships:

Romantic relationships with a Mithral Elf are taxing, if you can manage to get past their cautious nature in the first place you are likely to be in for a fight every step of the way until they are completely comfortable with you and that can take centuries. Between always thinking their right and being cautious of everything around them it’s rarely a peaceful relationship however if you can deal with these traits a Mithral Elf can make a fiercely loyal partner that will keep you in their hearts for life be warned crossing one however will trigger their sense of justice and you will never be forgiven.Platonic relationships with Mithral Elves are slightly easier to navigate, though you still have to contend with their arrogance once you become friends with a Mithral elf they are your friend for life. Loyal to a fault they will never betray you, though becoming friends with them if you have wronged any elven race before might prove more difficult. Some races will struggle with this race more than others such as Draconians, dark witches and especially Drow.

Appearance:

Light skin with an icy tint to it, in the moonlight their skin glows like the moonlight itself runs through their skin. Their hair matching the night and their skin more often than not in shades of black, blues and a silvery white. These Elves keep it long and straight and often wear their hair in braids decorated with wire or beads, the eyes of a Moon Elf will give them away instantly. The striking blue and green shades with silver flecks like stars are easy to spot, unlike the Drow who have poor eyesight during the day and great at night, the Moon Elves have adapted to both. Being able to see well in both light and dark gives them full advantage of their abilities. Though they show a sensitivity to bright lights. Moon Elves are also some of the tallest of the Elves averaging around 6 foot 3 / 190cm, they enjoy elaborate clothing in dark colors and silver patterns while in their own communities.

Personality:

Overly arrogant these Elves are extremely confident in themselves and their abilities and with good reason. Very rarely will you find these natural born leaders in situations that they can not control or come out on top. Their strategic minds are able to calculate many outcomes of any situation in just a few moments, giving them a great survivability rating. This fuels their confidence and gives them leverage over others, arrogance and confidence isn’t all Moon Elves are though. They have an incredibly strong connection with nature, caring for it the best they can and are quick to turn on anyone that has no regard for the planet. Although they don’t specifically worship anyone or anything they have a strong spiritual connection to the moon from which they draw their powers from. Moon Elves are incredibly friendly and make great companions with both Elves and other races. Many Moon Elves carry guilt for what happened to the Drow and regret the part they played in their sentencing all those years ago.

Relationships:

Moon Elves have both an easy time and hard time making friends, on the one hand they can become friends with just about anyone due to their friendly nature, but often their arrogance and self confidence pushes people away before they can form strong bonds and connections. Those that do stick around despite their flaws will find a caring race that wants the best for everyone. Filled with guilt they go above and beyond to try and befriend Drow Elves when they meet them.Romance with a Moon Elf is filled with love and care, but you have to deal with that self confidence and arrogance on a much larger scale. Do not get into an argument with your Moon Elf partner, you will not win. Because of their friendly caring nature Moon Elves prefer to be in polyamours relationships where they can give their love to several people at once. This doesn’t mean they won’t do monogamous relationships, they just have so much love to give they prefer to spread it around.

Moon

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Black, Blue, Silvery White, long and straight usually wore in braids with wire or beads

  • Eyes: Green or Blue with Silver flecks

  • Height: Tall

  • Build: Slender

  • Lifespan: 1 Billion Years

  • Notable: Pale Skin with an icy blue tint with pointy ears.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Lunar eclipse, sunlight, bright lights, and arrogance.

  • Powers: Meditative state, fertility manipulation, dream walking, illusion awareness, and lunar healing.

Rank: C Tier

History:

Before humans took over Moon Elves ruled the Elves along with their Elven Mithral cousins, known as High Elves. Where Mithral Elves intellect reigned supreme, Moon Elves relied on their ancestry magic and ability to control their emotions. This made them excellent leaders. They were loved and adored for the ability to lead and were often sought out for their ability to affect fertility. Along with their Mithral Elf cousins the Moon Elves were the ones to decide that humans should be given a wide berth, giving the order for all Elves to isolate themselves from the baby race that seemed to be volatile and violent. Although they were not as cautious as the Mithral Elves they could see just how destructive Humans were becoming.Opposite of their cousins, Moon Elves didn’t isolate themselves, in fact they welcomed other races into their hidden cities in the ruins. Trading with them and offering shelter from the humans that took it upon themselves to hunt down supernatural species. Moon Elves were always willing to help anyone in need, but quick to spot a lie. They were always incredibly hard to trick even when using magic. These Elves are so aware of not only their own emotions, but those around them. This helps so that they can spot illusions and trickery a mile off.Moon Elves were the first to come out of hiding, leaving the refuge of their hidden cities to take advantage of the human cities. They fit in with other races almost seamlessly, though they still took positions of leadership on a lot smaller scales. They find themselves creating small communities wherever they go and while they never lost contact with their Mithral cousins nor the Avariel Elves, they are now just learning what the Drow suffered through and want to make amends.

Abilities:

All Elves can enter a Meditative State, for most this isn’t sleep, just deep meditation which they use instead of sleep allowing them to be aware of what is going on around them, perfectly intune with their surroundings while resting and is used instead of actual sleep. With their affinity for the moon, Moon Elves are able to perform fertility manipulation, an ability that allows them to influence the fertility of any living thing. From a simple plant to something as complex as a human. The more complex the target is the more minor the manipulation is, while a cat can be influenced to be extremely fertile, a human would only be minorly swayed. Although they can affect fertility they can not induce heats or cycles of any nature.Dream walking gives Moon Elves the ability to walk among the dreams of those nearby, physical contact only aids to improve this ability and with practice a Moon Elf could even leave suggestions within the dream for the target to experience. Though direct control is not possible and remembrance of the dream is not guaranteed when their target wakes, this ability leaves the Elf completely exposed as they have to enter a deeper meditation than they usually would.Although they are unable to create illusions themselves, Moon Elves are very aware if an illusion is being cast especially if it is cast on themselves, this is called Illusion awareness. Magic, that would otherwise cause others illusions, would struggle to fool even young Moon Elves and the elder Elves are able to fight back against the illusion or break it entirely.Like their Mithral cousins, Moon Elves are able to heal themselves too, but only they can use the power of the moon in what is known as Lunar Healing. By bathing in moonlight they can heal even the most extensive injuries, without moonlight however they struggle to heal much at all.

Faefolk

The Faefolk are lovers of nature as it is their home, their roots. They are pranksters and tricksters, having deep interest and curiosity with Humankind. Often the reasons they leave the safety of their homes is to Human watch and if a particular Human catches their attention, perhaps interact with them. Since the uprising of supernaturals, Faefolk have widened their interests to other Races as well.

Gumiho

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Red, Auburn, Black or White

  • Eyes: Blue, Grey, or One of Each

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies due to their Ability to Shapeshift.

  • Lifespan: 10,000 Years

  • Notable: Multiple Tails Indicating Their Age and Power, Fox-like Features, Trickster Personality, Bead-like Soulstone

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Removal of their tails, being stabbed in the heart with obsidian, loss of their Soulstone

  • Powers: Shifting into fox and hybrid forms, energy and soul absorption, astral projection, thought projection, enhanced speed and agility.

Rank: C Tier

History:

The origin of Gumiho varies from culture to culture, but the truth is they all started from one fox. This fox would watch humankind from afar. They would watch them laugh, dance, play, the lonely fox wanted nothing more than to join them. To have the ability to talk, laugh, be around the Humans rather than get chased off as they thought of the fox as a predator to their farming animals. They died of loneliness as they had no pack.Such a strong desire, the Universe held their soul and granted the little fox their wish, to join humankind in the next life. Collecting energies and merging them with the fox’s soul would coagulate and become an ephemeral being known as a Gumiho. Because they are made from all kinds of collected energies, they themselves needed to find a way to consume energy and maintain their existence.Gifted with a Soulstone to collect the energy they need to live, this spirit being realized that they would have to take from the creatures they wanted so much to join. The Human soul. They liked Humans, were curious about them. The idea of stealing their souls didn’t sit well with the now Gumiho. It took a while to get used to, but soon they figured they could take some energy from the soul, not having to consume the whole soul.Nowadays, Gumihos are mostly born from other Gumihos. They start their life out with two tails and a pair of fox ears. For every 1,000 years that go by they gain another tail. The most tails a Gumiho can reach is 9 tails and at the age of 10,000 their energy is recollected by the Universe and they are transformed into forever children made of all the energy they have collected, never to live alone as they travel together as a true being of energy.

Abilities:

Gumiho are gifted with the ability to shift physically between three forms, their natural fox form. Their human form and their hybrid form which is a mix between the two. They do this effortlessly and at will, though a Gumiho will only show their hybrid form to those they truly trust.Being created out of energy from the Universe they are able to absorb and consume energy. While usually this is in the form of human souls that doesn’t mean they can’t absorb energy from other races, containing the whole soul or some of their energy are contained in their Soulstone. A bead-like object that varies in size depending on the amount of soul energy a Gumiho has harvested in their lifetime, though always small enough to fit inside a mouth. If stolen or broken, a Gumiho gradually returns to being pure energy without consciousness. As the Soulstone contains all the knowledge of the souls they have stolen, if one were to swallow the stone and looks towards the sky, they will be able to see their future until the stone is retrieved or their soul is taken. This is often enough to cause madness in Humans whose souls aren’t devoured. As Gumiho are made up of energy and collect energy to survive they can convert that energy into an astral projection usually it is of them but they can make the projection into any form that they have seen before. Usually using this to trick their targets but they have also been known to use it to comfort children who they have a soft spot for. While the Astral Projection is made of pure energy it appears like a solid object until it is touched, the longer the projection is kept up the more energy is required to keep it going.Extending from Astral Projection Gumiho are also able to transfer their thoughts of objects into similar projections, though harder to master and get a clear image. This projection will always be warped by the Gumiho’s thoughts so if they imagine the object wrong that is exactly how it will appear, meaning the Gumiho has to be clear in their thoughts when making the projection appear. The bigger the object the more energy that is consumed and the less time a Gumiho is able to keep it going, while the object can look solid for those that have mastered this craft usually the object doesn’t seem to be quite all there and even has pieces missing.Gumiho being part fox have similar traits of a fox two of which, that are highly affected are their speed and agility. Foxes are fast and agile creatures, designed for quick getaways and easy traversing of uneven terrain, this transfers to the Gumiho. Fast on their feet if they need to get away and agile enough to evade even the most precise attack, these cunning foxes may look cute and cuddly but they are more than capable of standing up for themselves.

Appearance:

Gumiho vary in appearance and stature, though they have a few features that stay consistent. Their natural hair colors are red, auburn, white, and black. Their natural eye colors are blue or grey, and it is not abnormal to encounter a gumiho who has one of each color eye.In their more human form, Gumiho look rather average and can blend quite easily into society. In their intermediary form, Gumiho have fox ears on the top of their heads and their tails are clearly visible. They have markings that swirl up their forearms from their hands and fingertips which are a gradient of the color of their hair/fur and fades the further up it goes.As a fox, these markings stay the same, as does the color of their fur and their eyes. All of their tails are clearly visible. A Gumiho is slightly larger than an average fox, closer to the stature of a mid-sized dog.

Personality:

The majority of Gumiho are actually quite friendly and only feed when they need to. Some will ever only kill the elderly who are already close to death to keep from unnecessarily shortening human lives. Gumiho also adore children, human or any other species. The purity of their energy is soothing to be around and Gumiho tend to make good caretakers. That's not to say they aren't still tricksters. Gumiho are Faefolk after all. They still enjoy teasing and leading people on. Gumiho have good senses of humor and tend not to take things personally. They sometime take some jokes to far, but they are also willing to apologize for hurting those most close to them.

Relationships:

Because of their ephemeral existence, Gumiho tend to be loners. Too many of them in once place used to mean less Humans to feed off of, so they tend to spread out. Fairly territorial, they are a bit suspicious of newcomers, but after enough observation, they will quickly trust and become friends with most people, and they especially love playing with children.Fun-loving and energetic, the lover(s) of a Gumiho need to be patient and have a pretty good sense of humor themselves. Because Gumiho tend to be a bit more laid back, even in interpersonal and romantic relationships, their partners sometimes wonder whether or not they care, but they do. They show their love and trust by willing to have their tails out or allowing their partner to know where they keep their soulstone.

Appearance:

Faeries generally look much like Humans used to think they did. At the same time, that smaller form is one they take on rarely done outside of being surrounded by nature. While being small makes them much faster, it also leaves them vulnerable to harm when around other beings.Every Faerie you meet will look different, but they share a few traits that help people identify them. Their eyes change colors depending on their moods and their hair is naturally any color on the spectrum without them having to dye it. This often gives them a very outlandish appearance, and those wanting to blend in usually dye their hair a more human looking color. At a human size, faeries are still rather small, shorter than average human height. They also are built a little lithe and thin, and generally look like a strong gust of wind might blow them away. When they take their true form, faeries are about the size of a pinky finger. Their wings are surprisingly sturdy and hard to damage.

Personality:

Personalities vary, but Faeries are a mysterious and flighty folk. They aren’t very trusting and tend to look for weaknesses in those that they meet right away. Whether or not they exploit these weaknesses is up to their own personal moral compass.Pranksters and tricksters Faeries love to cause other's small moments of distress. They find other's slight suffering and/or confusing amusing. Due to feeling emotions at their extremes a happy Faerie is glowing and brightly smiling, but happen upon an angry Faerie and their temper just explodes and is quite scary for such a small being.

Relationships:

Faeries have very tight communities, though the full extent of their societal structures is one they keep a secret. They are slow to trust, but quick to show affection which can be frustrating to some. Faeries make good friends because they are generally kind and show deep interest in the people they encounter. They are protective of what they consider to be theirs.Romantically, Faeries may be possessive, but at the same time flakey and inconsistent. They enjoy intimacy and all the things that come with a relationship, but mostly on their terms. Being in a relationship with a faerie means establishing clear rules and boundaries from the start, for the sake of both parties.

Faerie

Characteristics:

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Short to Average

  • Build: Short and Lithe

  • Lifespan: Immortal

Rank: D Tier

History:

Born from the first bloom of a flower, Faeries are ereathal creatures with gorgeous shimming wings as big or even bigger than themselves. Born from nature they protect themselves and their kingdoms with magic.Faeries have their own society, the structure of which is unknown by any who are not Faefolk. Anyone who ends up enamored enough and tries to follow a faerie to their home will find themselves suddenly losing the Faerie and now lost in the woods.Every wonder why you seem to be walking in circles in the woods? Even though you swore you took a different way than last? Perhaps you have come across a colony of Faeries. Their magic masking them from the rest of the world and sending you back to the start of your journey. The Faeries have been called the Fair Folk despite that fact that not all of them are very fair. They love to play tricks and pranks on Humans and other supernatural beings. Taking great delight in their confusion or slight aggravation. Especially with Humans specifically.Silly, gullible Humans that are so easy to trick and take advantage of. Faeries usually find themselves in the gray area, not good or bad, but in the middle. There's not much that will stop a Faerie, expect iron. The use of iron against a Faerie will take away their ability to fly, their magic, and leave them weak. If exposed too long to iron, a Faerie might die.

Abilities:

Faeries are tied to nature in ways that most do not truly understand. Much is still mysterious about faeries because they keep their secrets close to their chests. A Faerie above anyone knows the power of knowledge and the truth. They are able to tell when someone is lying, something Faeries don’t approve of despite not being very honest themselves. They tend to use subtle trickery and loopholes in order to achieve their goals despite making deals and promises with other beings. Technically not lying.Because of their close ties to nature, Faeries are able to communicate with animals to a certain degree, that degree based on how strong and practiced the Faerie happens to be. They like animals because animals don’t and cannot lie, honesty is integral to them and their instincts can very rarely allow them to deceive.Faeries are magical creatures who hide their home in order to keep their colony safe. Faeries construct ‘faerie circles’ which are simply doorways to their home, the magic of the circle will also mask their home from anyone who is not a Faefolk.

Their kingdoms are hidden away by magic, the only way to enter their world is if led by a Nereid through a portal often hidden in lagoons. Typically gentle and curious by nature, Nereids will travel outside their kingdom to explore the waters. They are known for following ships at sea, curious of what they carry and those who man it. Often Nereids will follow sailors onto land, letting themselves dry on the shores to gain their legs and full human appearance. They must be careful though, for if a single drop of water touches them, their legs will transform back into their beautiful, iridescent tails.Somewhere down the line myths and lies were created about the Nereids, some say they like to lure in sailors with their beauty and bring them to their watery graves, others consider them bad omens of a storm. Others say that if you capture a Nereid and consume their flesh you would be granted immortality. None of these myths are true, if anything Nereids are known to help lost sailors or fisherman, even manipulating tides to get their ships moving again if stuck in windless weather and still water. They are known to save those who are drowning, breathing air into the drowning persons lungs, carrying them back to shore. Nereids are no danger to humans, but humans are a big danger to them, they will only defend themselves if attacked, they are never the first to initiate a fight.

Abilities:

Nereids in the water are incredibly fast, like a bullet. They can swim to other kingdoms and oceans within minutes. Unlike whales and dolphins who need to hold their breath and break the surface of the water to breathe, Nereids have gills on the sides of their neck when wet, which allow them to breathe underwater. They are also known to be able to ‘breathe life’ into someone who is drowning or to someone who they wish to take underwater with them and have them survive. Through a kiss they are able to breathe oxygen into other’s lungs to keep them underwater for long periods of time.Naturally they are able to communicate with all sea creatures, able to tell how they are feeling and what their needs are, this is particularly useful with rehabilitating animals and taking care of sea life in aquariums. As a Nereid grows older and gains more experience, they are able to manipulate the tides. When they are young and first learn to harness this power they can create small waves, but as they grow older and more experienced, they are able to move ships, and sometimes when they reach over 1,000+ years old, they can even cause tsunamis. If able to live out their life without harm, mermaids can live around 3,000-5,000 years old.

Appearance:

When on land they look like any other human, if they remain dry, a single drop of water will cause a Nereid to lose their legs as they turn back into a long and beautiful fishtail. Every tail is unique to a Nereid with their shape and colour, but all tails are iridescent and shine in the light of the sun. Often Nereids will keep their hair long whether male or female, opting to put it in braids and add little trinkets to them. Hair colour varies among all Nereids, but their eyes range from various vibrant blues and greens, often looking like the ocean itself.

Personality:

Curious explorers Nereids are often seen as optimistic and adventurous. They have a deep care for all life in or out of the ocean. Because of this, it is rare that a Nereid is anything other than a vegetarian or vegan when on land. In the water they are often scavengers eating what has naturally died or had been left over from orca attacks, as these sea creatures are known to attack others for sport and not always for food. They are very against unethical practices that harm not only the ocean, but the Earth. They care deeply for the planet and are amazing activists and volunteers, helping clean up the land and sea.Be warned though, they are not ‘hippies’ and ‘pushovers’. A Nereid is not a pacifist and will stand their ground to fight if they need to. They are fairly strong creatures and when forced to defend themselves can elongate their fangs and use their nails like claws. They do not believe in suffering, so their kills are swift, often ripping out the heart of their enemies. Because they are scavengers and their attacker has met a swift end, they will eat the heart they rip out, not wanting to cause too much waste.

Relationships:

Nereids show their love and affection for friends and family by doing acts of service. It’s in their nature to help, so if they can do a task or help with an assignment that will make things easier on their loved ones, they will do it. Simple favours, to going above and beyond, there is no limit for a Nereid so long as it is within their power to do so. Often they engage in volunteer work and will try to get their partners to accompany them with beach clean ups, taking care of injured animals, etc. They are most compatible with ambitious people who may or maynot know what they want to do, but continue to explore and try new things wholeheartedly. Nereids find it difficult to connect with others when there’s little motivation, lack of hobbies, and laziness involved in the relationship. They will often try to motivate others, introduce them to new hobbies, get that person out in the world, but if they’re unable to reach that person and kickstart a more active lifestyle, they find it best to focus their efforts elsewhere.

Familiars

Familiars are a Light Witches best friend and found family. For a Dark Witch they are a statement of power or a way to gain more knowledge. These once Humans are merged with the soul of an animal, often in order to save their lives, the two souls now becoming one. The transition is not easy and each come with their trials and tribulations before a balance is found.

Nagual

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Dark

  • Eyes: Golden in Color

  • Height: Average - Tall

  • Build: Muscular

  • Lifespan: 10,000 Years

  • Notable: Thickly muscled and strong. Light freckles of Jaguar spots on their skin. Long fangs and claws. Anti-social and do not trust easily.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: inability to suppresses their hunter instincts, easily gives into their jaguar.

  • Powers: ability to shift into jaguar form, super-strength, predator instincts, incredible eyesight.

Rank: B Tier

History:

A favorite of Dark Witches, Naguals are statements of power. To have them as your familiar is to have a weapon at your side. That is, if you can live through their transition. Consumed by fierce instincts upon transformation the beast has no ability to be rational.Apex predators of the wild, the familiar must learn to control the beast within, learn to control their need to hunt, to kill. An overwhelmed newly transformed Nagual will lash out and attack those they do not mean to. Often if their witches are not careful, they do not live to see the human and jaguar reach balance.Naguals are a solitary species, living alone makes it easier to control their impulses as it's dangerous for a new Nagual to be around others, especially prey species. If someone happens to impede on their territory, they are known to lash out as they do not trust easily, the fear of being overtaken or showing weakness making them rash in their attack.

Abilities:

Like all familiars, the Nagual is able to shift between three different forms: their jaguar form, their human form, and somewhere in between. Though, the latter is something they rarely ever find themselves in.Originally thought to be nocturnal, jaguars are actual crepuscular preferring to do their hunting at dusk and dawn. Natural hunters Naguals have all the abilities of a jaguar. Razor sharp teeth that can penetrate the skull of any prey, thick muscles that can propel them up a tree in a single jump, and swift swimmers. They are a threat on land, air, and in water.

Appearance:

The transition can be difficult to handle as it is a complete mental and physical shift. No matter their physic before, once transitioned to a Nagua they become muscular and super strong, now they must learn to control their retractable claws and fangs, even in their human form.Normally their bodies are covered in light spot like freckles, their hair a reddish-gold, and their eyes a bright range of golden hues. Unless that is, they happen to be a rare melanistic jaguar, often called a black panther. These melanistic Naguals have dark hair and bronze skin, their spot like freckles extremely faint if at all noticeable.

Personality:

Kings of the jungle, Naguals are the strongest of their kind. It is not wise to taunt them as they are patient and will wait for the right opportune moment to sink their fangs and claws into their victim. As carnivores, a Nagual's diet consists of mostly meats and fish. They prefer them to be raw as it does not harm them in either of their forms. The taste of cooked meat is not pleasurable to them, but not the worst either.Naguals will not usually eat with others around them, the feeling of safety is important and often cannot be felt with others around them. The paranoid feeling of needing to protect their kill is overwhelming and they rather go hungry than to be constantly on edge waiting for someone to try and take their food.

Relationships:

To earn the trust and loyalty of a Nagual is not an easy feat. When they completely relax and even eat around you, there is nothing more reassuring.Once a trust is built, a Nagual can be incredibly affectionate towards their partner. They enjoy a good cuddle and will often hold their partner close to groom them.Terrifyingly territorial Naguals mate for life and they will protect their mate with unparalleled determination and ferocity.

Apperance:

Corvi in their human form have natural jet black hair. Their eyes are deep and dark and can hold a piercingly cold gaze. Their skin is often very pale, a stark contrast with their dark hair. Often their actions are slow and deliberate as they're always giving their sense of hearing primary attention. Knowledge is everything to a Corvus, when they find a particularly rare and juicy piece of gossip, their heads will swivel so their ears are facing towards the sound of their target. In their avian form they are rather small and blend in perfectly with other birds. As their feathers are dark as night, they are able to hide in shadows and lurk around keeping and eye and ear on their target. In their avian form they are able to communicate slightly by saying a word or two semi-intelligible.

Personality:

Curious beings that love knowledge, Corvi enjoy journaling, reading, people watching, and trivia nights. They are often quiet and keep to themselves outside of their avian family and Witch. Their facial expressions are very animated as they rather listen than speak, watching the quirk of their eyebrow or tilt of their head, their body language can give more away than their words ever could.Out of habit, a Corvus will often parrot back what they're told or asked in conversations before giving their own input. Though their words are rather direct and to the point as they don't like to mince words. Corvi get rather bored and unimpressed with sugar coated speech or small talk. They have been known to get up and walk away from conversations that are too dull. Do not waste a Corvi's time, it's one of the most offensive things you can do.

Relationships:

Relationships with Corvi can be difficult, but not impossible. Communication is key in any relationship, but one must get used to the way that a Corvus communicates, which is body language. Blunt and to the point, they can off as offensive, though they usually do not mean any harm to those they hold close to them.It is extremely rare for a Corvus to cheat on their partner. As loyal creatures it's one of the worst things that they or their partner could do. To cheat on a Corvus is to guarantee a life of pain and torture with small to large inconveniences. Never able to forget the misdeeds done to them, a Corvus will make their ex's life hell if they treated them wrong and/or cheated on them.Fights naturally happen between partners, small one to large ones. More often than not a Corvi's love language is 'gift giving'. Presenting a Corvus with a pretty shiny bobble can help put you back in their favor. In the reverse, if a Corvus gifts you with a shiny bobble, consider it the highest of praises and a giant act of love.

Corvus

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Black

  • Eyes: Deep Dark Brown to Black

  • Height: Short to Average

  • Build: Skinny to Lean

  • Lifespan: 10,000 Years

  • Notable: Dark hair and eyes, piercing gaze, extremely intelligent, sneaky, loyal, unforgiving, vengeful.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Shiney objects,

  • Powers: Amazing problem-solving abilities, ability to transform into a bird (from the corvus genus), super hearing, easily concealed in avian form, ability to communicate with other birds.

Rank: D Tier

History:

The Corvus came to be from Dark Witches needing ears and eyes everywhere that they could not be. If treated right and well, a Corvus is an asset to anyone wishing to know about all the secrets and gossip in town. Being small and dark they blend in well with other birds during the day and disappear into the shadows at night. It's virtually impossible to tell the difference between a common raven and a Corvus. These Familiars are loyal to their Witches, Dark or Light. When treated with care and respect they will stay at their Witch's side without questioning them and the deeds they wish their Corvus to partake in. If they are mistreated, by their Witch or anyone else, hell hath no fury like a raven scorned. Never forgetting a face and often teaching other Corvi (Familiar or Genus) who scorned them, that person's life will be tortured for generations to come.During their transition it can be difficult to get used to their new instincts. Flying can be terrifying at first, but it's an exhilarating and freeing experience. Their diet doesn't often change as they are omnivores. Something that may come as a surprise and hard to suppress, is the attraction to shiny objects. Often a Corvus will keep a secret nest and fill it with anything bright and shiny they find, they've also been known to indulge in the five finger discount in order to take the shiny bobble that caught their eye.

Abilities:

Like other Familiars, Corvi have the ability to transform into a single bird from the Corvus genus, this includes: crows, ravens, and rooks. Unlike other Familiars they do not have a 'hybrid' form. Corvi are only able to appear as a human or a bird, nothing in between. They have an amazing memory, they never forget a face. Their mind palace is filled with multiple secrets and gossip they have overheard throughout the years, they're able to pull information from their memory like pages in a file. They use this ability to blackmail others for their own or their Witch's gain. Corvi will also use this ability to torment those who have crossed them.Their ability to communicate with other birds in their genus has them building a small community of spies, giving them eyes and ears all over the city. A Corvus is considered the leader of the flock and will even teach their avian brothers and sisters the face of those who had done them wrong. It's not uncommon for these birds to attack this person by swooping or throwing things.

Tùzǐ

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Light to Dark Brown

  • Height: Short; Few Cases of "Giant"

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: 10,000 Years

  • Notable: Large soft ears and a fluffy tail, teeth that continuously grow.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Prey species, small, weak to dark magic.

  • Powers: ability to shift into rabbit form, fast, intelligent, powerful kicks and bites.

Rank: F Tier

History:

Often created by Light Witches, Tùzǐ are the smallest of the familiars. Often thought of as cute and obedient, it couldn't be farther from the truth. Stubborn and set in their ways it is not worth arguing with a Tùzǐ, they rarely will change their mind. Tùzǐ will not forgive nor forget any misdeeds done to them.As a prey species their transition from human and rabbit into a familiar is one of the most difficult. Small and easily killed they must adapt to the sudden paranoia and fear of being attacked. Always on edge, newly transitioned Tùzǐ often lash out at others, whether they pose a real threat or not.As a crepuscular species, Tùzǐ are most active at dusk and dawn, preferring to take naps in the afternoon. They often find it draining to be awake all day and will feel a great lull in the afternoon if they do not nap. Due to this they can be seen as 'lazy' as they prefer to lounge around during the day.

Abilities:

As a prey species, and a small one at that, Tùzǐ have adapted a flight response that can get them out of any situation. When a Tùzǐ feels threatened they will struggle, kick, and bite their attacker viciously until their hold gives. It's then they will make their escape sprinting faster than one might imagine.Their teeth, like rodents, will continuously grow, meaning they need to chew on objects to whittle them down. If they do not do this, their teeth will start to ache and become too large to sit comfortably in their mouth. If a Tùzǐ manages to bite you, they can leave massive damage with their long, sharp, front teeth.Tùzǐ heavily rely on their animal instincts in the face of danger. Their dexterity and speed are what keeps them alive. Aside from their teeth,a Tùzǐ's kick is is extremely powerful compared to their size. If given the right angle they can easily fracture or break their attacker's bones.

Appearance:

The appearance of a Tùzǐ tends to vary, just like rabbits. Depending on the type of rabbit bonded to the human, during the transition the new familiar will take on the soft, fluffy ears and tail of their rabbit. Hair color has also been known to change to match with the fur of the rabbit they have been bonded to.On rare occurrence, a human might find themselves bonded to a "giant" variety of rabbit, giving them an extremely above average height compared to other Tùzǐ.All Tùzǐ have large incisors that need special care. Teething toys or wooden objects tend to be a favorite in order to soothe their growing teeth and literally cut them down. If they let their teeth grow out too long they are unable to eat.

Personality:

To say they are stubborn creatures is putting it nicely. Highly opinionated they are not afraid to let others know what they think and will rarely back down from a verbal fight. When they are with people they are close to, Tùzǐ can be rather social and affectionate. When they are put in stressful situations or with people they are uncomfortable around, they will start to lash out in anxiety. To combat their stress Tùzǐ will shred the things around them usually something soft like clothes and blankets, often books and paper as those are common. They make nests out of the shredded material and lay in them until they start to calm down.

Relationships:

Every Tùzǐ has a place that is their own. Somewhere they feel safe and secure at all times. Often they will keep these places secret, so to be invited into that space means you are someone they trust. The same can be said if they start to use teething toys around others. It can often be embarrassing to gnaw at a toy, it is rare that they feel comfortable enough with a person to do so.Once a close connection has been made and their walls start to drop, Tùzǐ are very affectionate. They love to show affection through nuzzles and grooming. When extremely happy Tùzǐ will get the 'zoomies' running around in circles until they tire out. When content they will make a type of purring noise that sounds like chirping.Loyal creatures they feel loss deeply and grieve longer than most. when grieving, they will often not take care of themselves, avoiding getting up or eating. If their mate passes before them a Tùzǐ will not take another mate and the will to go on can feel like too much to handle.

Appearance:

Unlike the white-tailed deer, Shika are born with their white spots and keep them into their adulthood. These white spots can also be seen in their human form as a type of white freckles scattered across their tanned skin.Shika are known for having large doe-like eyes in any form they choose to be in. They range from deep chocolate brown to almost black in color.Male Shika will sprout their antlers in early March and are fully developed by August. In September males will start to shed the velvet on their antlers. Despite how it looks, this does not hurt them at all, in fact it is just itchy. This is why male deer will rub their horns against whatever they can to scratch that itch. Come late February they cast their antlers and the process starts over again.

Personality:

Shika females tend to be softer and more outwardly compassionate than their male counterparts. They are flighty creatures who abhor violence and will avoid it at all costs. Often they will downplay what ails them physically or mentally as they do not wish to be a burden. They are strong willed and mildly stubborn.Males are just as caring and compassionate, but will often mask this softer side of themselves and will not make a big deal over it. Their words may come off as light scolding, but their actions are very gentle.

Relationships:

Herd animals Shika are rarely monogamous and prefer to live in large families. It is often said it take a village to raise a child, for Shika it takes a herd. When it comes to mating seasons the females actively search for a male that would make a great father figure. This leads them to be rather picky and finicky with whom they mate with.Males become aggressive and will often get territorial during mating season. They will rub their horns against whatever they can during shedding season, and even use them in fights with other male Shika. Both males and females will protect their herd by any means necessary. When faced with danger they will first move to protect the young, their parental instincts putting the herds young's needs before their own.

Shika

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Light Brown with Reddish Undertones

  • Eyes: Dark Brown

  • Build: Slightly Above Average to Tall

  • Lifespan: 10,000 Years

  • Notable: Large round doe-eyes, dark skinned with white freckles that mimic their spotted bodies. Males have large antlers.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Easily frightened, they have the flight instinct. They cannot see well in the day, but are terrified of night.

  • Powers: Fast with incredible stamina, amazing hearing, long jump experts, excellent night vision.

Rank: F Tier

History:

Shika are known to be most Light Witch's favorite Familiar. Their kindness, compassion, and loyalty making them the perfect companions. Perhaps Shika have the easiest transition out of all the Familiars. The merging of the two souls, human and deer, a near perfect blend as if they had never been two separate entities and have always been one.Because of this Shika love to be in their deer form frolicking around in the forest as it feels natural for them. In fact more often than not they will make their home in the woods so that they can be surrounded by nature. When it comes to work Shika tend to find occupations that allow them to be close to nature, or that let them excel in sport. They can run fast and far with their impressive stamina, using their long legs they can propel themselves high and long with a jump. Shika usually excel in track and field sport.

Abilities:

Night vision like no other Shika are able to see perfectly in the dark due to the fact that their eyes have more rods than they do cones. This does come with its downsides, perfect night vision means their daytime vision suffers. It is very common to see a Shika squinting in the daylight as they try and focus their vision.Their long legs make them incredible jumpers and long distance runners. When in danger Shika are, more often than not, able to outrun the danger they're faced with. If something stands in their way, once again, they can use their long legs to propel themselves high, over the barrier that blocks them.Able to hear a pin drop in the forest, this ability helps to keep their herd safe. If something sounds off to a member of the herd they will start to direct the young to start running, signaling to the rest of the herd to follow away from the perceived danger.

Guardians

The Guardians are made of all the pure energy in the Universe. They are created to bring balance to the Seven Deadly Sins. Guardian Angels are created to protect their charges from whatever is tempting them off their path. However, these Guardians are not immune to temptation themselves and if they ignore the purpose the Universe created them for, their wings turn black with corruption and they fall from the Universe's grace.

Angel

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Beautiful, large white wings, empathetic, compassionate, self-less.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Temptation, Deadly Sins, burnout.

  • Powers: Beauty, flight, omnilingual, empathetic touch, a sixth sense over their charge.

Rank: D Tier

History:

After the creation of the Deadly Sins, the universe needed to be balanced out once more. Taking all the pure energy in the universe, the seven virtues were entrusted with the new beings known as Guardian Angels.Guardian Angels are guided by the Universe in watching over their charge, getting them back to the path they are straying from is the reason they were created. Their charge is their whole world, their reason for being, selflessly they put their charge first above their own needs.Angels have a difficult job and often are quite exhausted as few choose to reveal their true selves. Choosing to introduce themselves as friends, colleagues, neighbors, classmates, etc. the burnout of hiding who they are and constantly being their for their charge is debilitating at times.Strong in their determination, they don't give up hope easily. They see all the cruelty in the world, they see all those who had given up hope, and it motivates them to keep working, keep helping, to keep making a difference no matter how big or small it maybe. Once they do that, once they set their charge on the right course, it's time for them to leave and find a new charge for them to help as their job is never done.

Abilities:

Born into the world to bring balance to the Universe these Angels are given multiple abilities in order to best help their charges get back onto the path the Universe had planned for them.Communication is key, so no matter who their charge is and where they are from, Angels are able to communicate in any language. Omnilingual, they are able to switch to any language with ease and there is no studying needed. They are even fluent in extinct languages as they draw their knowledge from the Universe. Not just limited to their charge, Angel's have an empathetic touch. By gently making skin to skin contact with another being they are able to feel the emotions and troubles of those who they touch. Often an Angel can be found fully dressed in long pants, skirts, or dresses, as well as long sleeves to keep from accidentally making skin to skin contact with people on the street.Angels are also able to sense when their charges are in distress or danger. This sixth sense also allows them to pinpoint where their charge is in order to reach them quickly and help them through whatever situation they find themselves in needing help. This sense is so strong that it will wake an Angel immediately if they happen to be sleeping.

Appearance:

Secretive and humble creatures, Angels often hide their magnificent wings folded against their back. They dress modestly and no matter what season they tend to dress fully covering their legs and arms with their clothing. They do this to lessen exposed skin as if they happen to bump into a stranger and make skin to skin contact, they will be rushed with whatever emotions and troubles that individual is facing, which can be a lot to handle unexpectedly.Angels are extremely beautiful ethereal beings. They come in all shapes, sizes, all hair colors, eye colors, and skin colors. They easily blend in with Humans and will often present themselves as such in order to keep their identity a secret. More often than not an Angel will claim publically that they are Human rather than a Guardian.

Personality:

Altruistic beings, Angels will put everyone and thing before themselves, even those who are not their charges. They love animals and will often rescue strays they find on the street. Homes full of plant life and animal life, they are genuinely happy, but always tired from being on the job 24/7.Although they are made from pure energy, Angels do not hate those who they were made to balance against. Often they will try and help Deadly Sins and those who are in the dark or grey area of life find some sort of light in their lives. They will help anyone who asks for it believing that there is good within all beings.

Relationships:

Due to the fact that Angels are so secretive and always putting themselves last, it's uncommon for them to find themselves in relationships. Angels are always on the move from one charge to the next, going wherever the Universe tells them to. It makes it quite difficult to start and maintain deep relationships with others.Always trying to keep their focus on their charge and getting them back onto the path the Universe wants them to be on, it leaves little time for anyone else. Especially since their sleep will be disturbed to go and find their charge if they need their Angel. This being said it's not impossible to hold relationships with Angels, it is just very difficult and one must expect to come second place to the Angel's charge.

Appearance:

Fallens are just as beautiful as when they were Angels. They come in all shapes and sizes, all hair colors, eye colors, and skin colors. They blend in well with Humans and when they were Angels, often kept their identities a secret. Now as Fallen, they have no issues spreading their wings for all to see, showing off the magnificent black color. Often instead of completely retracting them, they have them folded down against their back. No longer will they suffer uncomfortability for the sake of others. They are proud creatures and do not believe in hiding away.

Personality:

Cold and scorned they carry a chip on their shoulder for the Universe. There’s often a hollow feeling a newly Fallen carries as their connection with the Universe is severed. It feels like their purpose is gone, but in reality now they have the ability to choose who and when to help. The freedom of choice is something they will find solace in. Having lived their lives as Angels for others, they now selfishly live their lives for themselves and what they want to do.Anything and everything they do is to benefit them, to make themselves happy, to reach out whenever they want to, no longer are they forced to help others, but now do so out of the kindness of their heart. Once tasked with keeping souls from straying down the wrong path of the Universe, Fallens take pleasure in helping souls find and live their truest desires. Wanting others to feel the freedom they have of living for themselves.Often they are seen as pessimistic, though they themselves would categorize themselves as painfully realistic. Headstrong and determined, once they make their minds up it's impossible to change their mind. Even if it puts them through pain and suffering, they believe they are in the right and will continue on the path that they set out for themselves. The only soft spot, potentially, is if they run into an old charge they were once close to.

Relationships:

Living for themselves now, it's very uncommon for a Fallen to jump straight into a relationship with anyone. They are enjoying their new found freedom, they no longer have to listen to what they're supposed to do, or what they have to do, finally they can choose a path they wish for themselves. The last thing they want is to tie themselves to someone and worry about giving and taking when all they want to do is take. Selfish and headstrong, these Fallen Angels finally feel like they are free and they want to experience it in full.It is more common for a Fallen to pursue one night stands or friends with benefits where they do not have to be tied down and worrying about what their partner thinks. They enjoy keeping things light and fun, pleasure for them and if it so happens to bring pleasure to others, great. Though that is not their focus. When they do happen to find someone they like and want to get entangled with, they are rather clingy and possessive of their lovers, it’s almost like they’re living their Angel lives again, wanting to protect their lovers.

Fallen Angel

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Beautiful, large black angel-like wings, headstrong, indulgent, determined.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Temptation, Deadly Sins, righteousness, stubbornness.

  • Powers: Beauty, flight, omnilingual, truth and desire elicitation.

Rank: D Teir

History:

Guardians Angels, guided by the Universe in watching over their charge, getting them back to the path they are straying from is the reason they were created. When an Angel starts to ignore the Universe and what they want them to do, they get severe headaches, a warning to get back to their purpose, helping others.Just because Angels are made from the pure energy of the Universe, does not mean that they are immune to temptation, selfishness, or straying from their own paths carved out for them by the Universe. Falling from the Universe’s good grace is a punishment for ignoring the calls of the Universe. The first warning is headaches, if an Angel does not heed this warning and continues to stray, the next warning is the molting of their wings. It is not impossible to turn back at this point. If the Angels get back on track to what they are supposed to do and only what they are supposed to do so designed by the Universe, their beautiful white feathers will return. However if the Angel continues to act pridefully, believing they can do better than what the Universe dictates, the motling will continue. The process of molting is itchy and tormenting to see their beautiful white feathers fall. If this does not deter the Angels from their current path of their own destruction, the next step is falling from the grace of the Universe.Causing an imbalance is unforgivable. Once all the feathers have molted, painfully, new feathers, black as night, grow on their wings. With the last of their headaches gone, they open their eyes to reveal a new self. No longer are these Guardians Angels, now they are considered Fallen. Filled with a deep contempt for everything they once stood for, they become righteous and headstrong with their own newfound beliefs

Abilities:

Once their fall is complete, they lose the ability to communicate with the Universe. They are no longer universally connected with their charge. With this connection gone, Fallens are not able to feel if their charge is in danger, if they are still straying from the Universe's plans, or even if they're alive or dead. All connections they had are severed when they decide that they no longer wish to follow the Universe's plan for them. Now that they are fallen, Fallen Angels can choose what they want to do when it comes to their relationship with their ex-charge. Whether they cut all ties, or still try and keep a watchful eye on them is up to the Fallen alone.Still a Guardian if not an Angel, recently turned Fallens still have a want to help others, but now they can choose when and who to help. Because their powers are given to them from the Universe, Fallens lose almost all powers that come with such a connection and are replaced. What they are left with is their ability to speak any language. Since Guardian Angels can be given to any human being anywhere in the world, they are gifted with omnilingualism. This gift to communicate with anyone is still intact when they fall. Flight is another ability that they are able to keep, though at a cost. Their original, pristine, white wings molt and are painfully replaced with strikingly black feathers. Empathic touch is taken away from them and is replaced with the ability to elicit someone’s desires by touching their skin. Fallens can also elicit truth from anyone they hold deep eye contact with. With their stubbornness and determination Fallens have a very low tolerance for liars and often feel righteous and will deal with them how they see fit.

Cupid

  • Weaknesses: Temptation, Deadly Sins, hatred, lust, patience.

  • Powers: Flight (short distance), omnilingual, love touch, ability to see strings of fate.

Rank: F Tier

History:

Protectors of love these Guardians are made from all the love found in the Universe. Even if they tend to be on the smaller side, they are absolutely filled to the brim with rainbows and sunshine. Always energetic and with a smile, these Guardians daydream about their favorite love scenarios and romantic movies. When an Angel’s charge is back on the right path that the Universe wants them to be on, if they happen to be single, the next to come into the charge’s life is a Cupid. Cupids are there to help a charge find all sorts of love: philia, storage, philautia, pragma, eros, ludus, and agape. They are also there to help lead a charge away from mania: an obsessive type of love as Cupids want their charges to love healthy. They are also great at helping people realize their love languages: affirmation, acts of service, gifts, quality time, and physical touch.Cupids are highly intrinsically motivated, wanting to do the best they can to help others bring their romantic fantasies to life. As a Guardian they are also meant to steer people away from Deadly Sins, for a Cupid that sin is lust. Love is healing and wholesome, but lust is just in the moment often leaving someone feeling empty or like something is missing. It breaks a Cupid’s heart to see someone being used for another’s gain, especially the gain of a Deadly Sin of Lust. Instead of following that carnal desire, a Cupid will help show a charge that love is waiting for them. With a gentle touch this Guardian can fill a charge with the feeling of bubbly love, giving them the temporary sight of the red string of fate attached to their finger. A promise that there is someone on the other end to love them.

Abilities:

Due to their small wings, Cupids are able to fly, but only short distances. They are able to carry small packages and items as they fly, such as a backpack, but they are unable to carry other beings with them as it is too heavy for their wings. Myth states that Cupids shoot love arrows at two people to make them fall in love, but that is in fact just a myth. The Universe is the one who links soulmates together by the red string of fate, and Cupids are just the messengers and advocates of the Universe, helping people with the type of love they happen to be lacking in. There is no shooting of anyone with arrows. Just like all Guardians they are omnilingual making their jobs of helping a charge anywhere in the world possible, but what Cupids have that the other Guardians do not, is ‘the touch of love.’ If given a particularly difficult charge they are able to make skin to skin contact with them and allow them to feel what love feels like. So long as a Cupid keeps this skin to skin contact with someone, the person they are touching is able to see their red string of fate tied around their pinkie.

Appearance:

On the smaller side, Cupids are generally pear shaped with curly hair. Their skin is pale, with a shimmering pinkish undertone to it and their cheeks are always rosey. It’s almost as if the smile is permanently etched on their lips. Their wings are smaller than their Angel counterparts, but they are just as white and beautiful. The mark of a Cupid, aside from their wings, are their eyes. Staring into a Cupid’s eyes you’ll see that their pupils are not round, but they are actually heart shaped. Often found wearing pastels Cupids want to look as cheery as they feel. They are often mistaken for Faeries, but upon closer inspection of their wings and eyes others can see that the lack of iridescent eyes and the addition of feathers on their wings, they are not a Faefolk.

Personality:

Cupids are bright and radiant like the sun. They are extreme optimists as they never see the glass as half-empty, half-full, or even empty, they view it as a vessel that has more opportunities to hold water. They are in love with love, often staring longingly out a window thinking of wonderfully romantic scenarios. It is beyond rare to see a Cupid in a bad mood as they are usually bubbly and energetic. They always have energy stored in their little bodies to zoom about their day spreading love and cheer. When on a mission they are very focused and determined to steer their charge or any person in the right direction towards love. Cupids can get by on very little sleep as they like to spend their free time watching romantic movies and catching up on romantic tv-shows.

Relationships:

Much like their Angel counterparts, Cupids are more focused on others than themselves. Although Cupids daydream of the most romantic scenarios, they often leave little room for romance in their life. There is just so much love for them to give out, focusing solely on one person that is not their charge or someone they’ve found that needs their help is difficult. Relationships are also very difficult for a Cupid as they are unable to see their own red string of fate. This leaves them searching for the love of their life like any other race or subspecies. It’s often exhausting for a Cupid to focus on a crush that they have as they find themselves over thinking the relationship and refusing to give into the temptation of lust.To make a friend of a Cupid though will bring you great joy as Cupids loves to spoil their friends in whatever their love language is. Acts of service? In the blink of an eye the tiny Cupid will be zooming around cleaning the place while their friend relaxes after a long day. Gifts? They will pick out the most thoughtful and personalized gift for their friends. Quality time? Cupids will schedule a large chunk of time to give their friend their undivided attention and so on and so forth. It is imperative to Cupids that the important people in their life feel loved.

Humans

Humans who once dominated the world, are now at the bottom of the food chain. Forcing the supernaturals to hide themselves in the shadows for millennia they have had enough. Humans are now the ones who are forced to hide, to live in the shadows, or they can live their life out as pawns to the supernaturals.

Duke & Duchess

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: 100 Years

  • Notable: Wealthy, cautious, observant, always on edge, distrusting and distrustful.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Mortality, weapons, lack of strength compared to supernatural beings.

  • Powers: Wealth, observant, ability to detect any deceit or malintent.

Rank: F Tier

History:

With the uprising of supernaturals and the suppression of Humans, they were separated into five different groups. Those who had enough money to protect themselves by bribing others were made into Dukes and Duchesses. They were able to save themselves from being slaves, the rest of the humans were not so lucky.Just because they were able to bribe themselves out of the Slave Auction once, did not guarantee a Duke or Duchess to stay in power. They would constantly have to prove their worth and status with not only their money, but with their ability to contribute information in return for being able to stay a Master or Mistress.Unable to defend themselves from supernaturals physically, their ability to stay alert and pick up blackmail on other Human and supernaturals alike have kept them in power. The more prominent a Duke and Duchess in society the more secrets they had to expose. Clever these Humans have learned to never trust anyone and that their own efforts are the only way they are going to be able to maintain their status and comfortable lifestyle.

Abilities:

Wealth has gotten these Humans far, but it's not like they have an infinite amount of money, and sometimes money just is not enough. Information is what also keeps these Humans at the top of their game. Nothing gets past a Duke or Duchess unseen. They are always on high alert watching their surroundings waiting for someone or thing to happen so they can use that information to their advantage. The information they get can ultimately save their lives and keep them from being collected and added to the Slave Auction.Self-preservation is the utmost importance to Dukes and Duchesses meaning they will do everything to keep the power they have, to keep their place in a higher society. They've adapted a very lucrative business of blackmail that they can use to keep even the strongest of supernaturals from knocking them down from their Master and Mistress status.

Appearance:

Like all Humans their appearance varies, but the defining difference in Dukes and Duchesses are usually their designer clothing and jewelry. This makes them look fairly close to a well kept companion, the difference being that Dukes and Duchesses never look relaxed. They are always focused on many different things at once, where Companions will focus on the conversation and company at hand, ignoring the rest of the crowd. Dukes and Duchesses like to be in everyone's business and their eyes are always wandering in hopes of finding some sort of leverage to use for later if need be.

Personality:

Although they might seem carefree and hoity when out in social gatherings, Dukes and Duchesses are very aware of their mortality and lack of strength, that their money is what keeps them alive. They are calculating, mistrusting, and should not be trusted themselves. They will easily sell out other members of their race and subspecies to continue to be on top, to avoid becoming a slave. Desperate to not fall to the ranks of a slave they will do anything and everything in their power whether it be handing over money or information to keep themselves out of the Slave Auction.Fearful and paranoid Dukes and Duchesses rarely feel at peace with themselves. They feel constantly watched, judged, and in danger. Their smiles are fake and never really reach their eyes, which are too busy watching everyone else. Information is power and they'll observe everyone and thing closely to gain advantage no matter how small it might be.

Relationships:

Dukes and Duchesses often have relationships outside of their race. With money being the only reason they are kept in power, it is easier for them to align themselves with a supernatural being who will protect them physically. Even though they actively seek out Masters or Mistresses with physical supernatural powers, there is a level of mistrust that hangs in the air. Dukes and Duchesses can so easily be overpowered and forced into slavery, they keep their partners close, but not too close so that they are able to clearly sense any betrayal. There are no rose colored glasses for these Humans as they remain skeptical and on edge around supernatural beings.

Appearance:

Their appearances all vary, but they are always beautiful. Stunning to say the least. One might even compare their beauty to Vampires, though Humans will always come just a few pegs short of reaching that level of beauty. While they are still young, bright eyed, and free of wrinkles they are treated well and taken care of.When Companions start to age and lose their beauty often they are dropped as slaves. They are either left to fend for themselves, or are sent to breeding factories to produce more beautiful humans to be trained for the years to come.

Personality:

The personality of Companions varies from human to human, just like personalities range from all Masters and Mistresses. Each Companion is taken and put into similar personality groups. They are then trained on how to use their base personality to satisfy the needs of whomever purchases them.Because of the various personalities and different trainings each Companion comes with a recommendation of Masters or Mistresses that they would satisfy the most.

Relationships:

From the very first moment they are born, or the first moment they have dropped from a Duke or Duchess and made a Companion, they are taught that their bodies, their being, is not their own. They are made for Masters and Mistresses. They are a beautiful decoration, a warm spot in bed, something to pass the time, to strike up a good conversation to keep from being bored. Nothing they do is for themselves, but for others.Because of this, Companions do not actively seek out relationships. They know that anyone may purchase them in the Slave Auction, anyone can steal them away from their current Master or Mistress. They keep their hearts locked away and protected.

History:

With the uprising of supernaturals and the suppression of Humans, they were separated into five different groups. Those who had enough money to protect themselves by bribing others were made into Dukes and Duchesses. They were able to save themselves from being slaves, the rest of the Humans were not so lucky.Companions might have drawn the short end of the stick when it came to being forced to be slaves, but they are by far treated the best out of all the Human slaves. Their beauty saved them from the hard life manual labor, or putting their life on the line to protect whomever purchases them. They are treated well by those who purchase them. Often used as ornaments and statement pieces. A beautiful, well trained, intelligent Human was a sight to be seen and heard, at least while they are youthful. The older a Companion gets, they start to lose their value and appeal. Often they are dropped as slaves and left to live on their own, fend for their own. Or if they perhaps happen to come by a cruel Master or Mistress, they can be sold to breeding centers to make more Humans, if beautiful they too will become Companions starting the cycle all over again.

Abilities:

Highly trained these Companions are fluent in multiple languages the most common being: Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. They are trained in conversation, how to be engaging, how to keep all eyes on them. They are a statement piece that Masters and Mistresses love to show off. How amazing is it to find an intelligent Human? A Human that they can keep for a short while before their beauty starts to fade. A rarity, a diamond in the rough.

  • Powers: Mentally sound, strong determination to succeed, endurance, and loyalty.

Rank: F Tier

History:

When the Humans lost their dominance over the world, they were sorted into categories of usefulness. Those who had money and could bribe their way out of slavery were named "Dukes and Duchesses." Those who were beautiful and graceful were called "Companions." Lastly those who were sturdier builds and average complexions were dubbed "Laborers."Laborers is a vague title for human slaves who can do a multiple of jobs for their Masters and Mistresses. Their jobs can range from butler, maids, chefs, kitchen staff, to bodyguards, personal drivers, or assistants. These Humans are kept alive for the pure purpose of living their life out for someone else. They live to serve and follow any and all instructions given to them.To make sure there was an abundance of Laborers for purchase Human Breeding Centers were made to keep the population of Humans up. These babies are taken immediately from their mothers and often put into orphanages who will instill the fear of God into the children so they learn from a young age to never step out of line and always do their best so they may get into Heaven when they die. Work hard now so you can rest when you're dead.

Abilities:

Laborers are hard working and resilient, they will often put their task above all else, including their health. Living to serve their Master or Mistress, their word is law and they will do anything and everything in their power to make it work.Strong willed and taught from birth to be the best and serve their Masters well, they push themselves to their utmost limits. Often these Humans will push themselves until their bodies give out. This repeated overworking and burn out often leads Laborers to live a fairly short life when compared to Dukes, Duchesses, and Companions.

Appearance:

Often built rather sturdy so that they may accomplish difficult tasks that involve lifting, building, cleaning, cooking, etc. they are considered more practical than Companions. Beauty is not often associated with Laborers, but the more slightly above average a Laborer the easier of a job they will be given.Due to the rough nature of their jobs Laborers often have scars and marks in various places all across their body. For working late and hard their eyes often have dark circles under their eyes and are in a constant state of looking rather exhausted. This leads them to looking older than they actually are.

Personality:

Organized and with their eye on the prize Laborers are very determined to do well. They love structure and schedules, veering from their usual schedule makes them stressed and uneasy, but they will still attack the task at hand to the best of their ability.Usually very religious and God fearing, Laborers believe that the harder they work on Earth and please their employers and Masters that they'll be rewarded even more when they pass away and enter Heaven's pearly gates. Often this leads to them being people pleasers and push overs. It's very rare that a Laborer will stand their ground and speak up against injustices. They're more likely willing to let whatever may happen to them as they believe in an afterlife.

Relationships:

It's not often that a Laborer has time for a relationship. The only relationship they fully form is one with their Master as their life is dedicated to them. If they do happen to have something more than a friendship it is often kept in secret. They are taught that love is a distraction, that it takes away from their dedication to their Master. A Laborer in love can be dangerous for all parties involved as distractions need to be eliminated to keep them working efficiently.

Appearance:

Malnourished and often quite dirty, Street Rats are sickly looking as they rarely see the sun. Turning themselves into nocturnal creatures they spend most of the daylight hours sleeping in the tunnels of the underground before waking up at night and setting out to try and get more necessities if they're running out.Often both men and women have long hair or jaggedly cut hair as often they'll use kitchen scissors or a knife to give themselves haircuts. The tunnels are not the cleanest of places to live and their clothing can be found with a few to many dirt stains on them.

Personality:

Despite their living situation being cold, dark, and often leaving them malnourished and hungry, they are optimists. Looking at the bright side of things, at least they are free, they serve no Master or Mistress, they are their own person. They are feisty for being such schwany Humans. They will not give up or in easily. They do not trust those outside their pack, even if the outsider truly wish to help them by supplying food, toiletries, or medical supplies, Street Rats rather deny them and get it themselves. Paranoid that they just want to seem like a friend and then turn them all into the Slave Auction.

Relationships:

Paranoid and distrustful of the surface dwellers, Street Rats usually keep to their own kind. They take care of one another and look after their group whether they are blood or not. The adults will spend the most time on the surface while the pre-teens and teenagers take care of the young ones.Extremely protective of their own, they will do anything and everything in their power to not lead a surface dweller to their home, and thus their pack of Street Rats. Freedom is important to them, but the family you choose means more. Every so often a Street Rat will sacrifice themselves to keep the pack safe, giving up their freedom and thus put themselves in the Slave Auction.

History:

In the early years of the Universe, Dragons would roam the land and skies freely. These carnivorous animals were usually the size of modern day houses, some elder Dragons were even the size of mountains. These immortal creatures were greedy, whenever something shiny, made of gold, or jewels caught their eyes, it needed to be theirs. Often Dragons would make a nest of treasure they took or acquired. They would lay their eggs in these piles, curling up around them waiting for their baby to hatch. As the world started to evolve, Humans joined the earth along with other creatures that caught the Dragons attention. One Dragon in particular was interested in a Mage. She was beautiful and the Dragon wanted to add her to his collection. Slowly the two became acquainted with one another, the Dragon had gained her trust over the span of months before he tries and takes her for his collection. What the Dragon did not know is that this Mage was a Dark Witch, powerful in dark magic and curses. Enraged with the betrayal of the Dragon, she curses him and all other Dragons. These selfish creatures needed to learn a lesson. No longer will they be giant creatures of sky and land. No longer will they be able to dominate the world. Twisted and transformed once Dragons are now Draconians.Oh how the mighty fall. Humanoid looking creatures with traces on their bodies of what they once were. Weaker versions of themselves, these selfish creatures would forever be cursed to walk the land as inferior beings. Cursed to take flight for only an hour at a time before getting winded and needing to rest. Cursed for themselves and all that come after them.

Abilities:

Not all of their abilities have been taken away from them. Although they are unable to turn back into their original forms, their hybrid forms allow them the ability of flight. Though this flight is limited to only an hour, if they are carrying someone or something else, the time decreases.
Their claws are long and thick, able to slash through most materials and leave critical damage in a fight.
There were two factions of Dragons. Ice Dragons and Fire Dragons. Although they no longer have the ability to breathe fire or ice, Draconians are able to withstand extreme temperatures of their element. Fire Draconians are able to walk through fire unscathed, and Ice Draconians are able to stay in below freezing temperatures unaffected.

Appearance:

Once giant Dragons, Draconians are now humanoid creatures. They tend to be tall with lean muscles or large muscles. In their fully human form the only detail that gives them away to being a Draconian is their slim rhombus shaped pupils. They can choose to expand their bat-like membraned wings in this form.In order to use their other features from when they were mighty beasts, they need to shift into their hybrid form. In their hybrid form iridescent scales appear over their arms, legs, and back. Spikes grow from their spines and their nails turn into long claws. Their wings unfurl and span out ten feet.

Personality:

Selfish and greedy Draconians often find themselves looking to be in positions of power. Owning businesses, gaining and showing off their wealth, they find anyway possible to relate themselves back to their Dragon days.Their tempers are easy to ignite, they tend to brood and steam in their emotions. They are amazing grudge holders and all Draconians have a burning hatred for all Dark Witches. They are considered their mortal enemies and will not contain themselves if they find a Dark Witch impeding on their territory.

Relationships:

Draconians are possessive lovers, they are selfish and want to keep their loved ones to themselves. Jealous when their loved ones are close with others they are known to growl in displeasure and move themselves between their loved one and someone else if they feel that they are too close.Reassurance is something they often need to hear from their loved ones. When their temper calms down their favorite way to apologize is to gift their loved with with silver, gold, and jewels. They decorate their loved one with things they love and hold precious to them, showing their devotion with the trust in giving them their treasure.

Appearance:

Children of Bast retain their ears, tails, and claws from when they were cats in ancient Egypt. Unlike Familiars they are not able to hide these attributes about themselves unless they are hiding them under a hat or other articles of clothing.Quite large cats back in their ancient Egyptian days, this transferred to their height and are taller than average. Their build is lean and lithe and they walk gracefully almost like a model without trying. Their eyes are shades of green and gold like most black cats. Their pupils behave like cats as well, dilating and retracting to their environment.

Personality:

Unable to full let go of their days from the past, Children of Bast have an air of arrogance about them. After all they were treated as royalty, dressed in gold, worshiped in the households of the Pharaohs for generations. Their holier than thou attitude often appears when they feel as though they are being mistreated or looked down upon. The one weak spot they have is with children. Often they would take care and protect the children of the Pharaoh and their natural protective instincts take over when around the tiny beings. When interacting with children, they will often bless them good health and luck as they grow.

Relationships:

Guarded at first, they are afraid of abandonment, the scars of losing their human families so long ago still fresh on their hearts. Children of Bast will keep others at a distance until a sense of absolute trust can be made. Slowly their cold outer shell will fade and the ones they let in will see that they are often quite playful and cuddly.Children of Bast love words of affirmation and praise. They had lost all meaning. Mourning their family and way of life, the Goddess, weakening in power due to lack of worship, granted her children one last gift. History:

Owl Griffins for eons were considered curious and playful beings that thirsted for knowledge and understanding. Watchers of the world, they collected all the knowledge they could through themselves and owl friends alike. They would store all their knowledge in what was known as “The Great Library of Alexandria.” Owl Griffins from all over the world would gather once a month to share their records of the worlds, bringing books, tomes, and written artifacts by various races and species. With a great love for knowledge came wanting to share it among even the humans. These Owl Griffins were graced with the ability to transform into a humanoid form when stepping into the magical library. Their multicolored feathers adoring their hair became the only difference that could be seen by others in order to interact with the library patrons and easily write down their records of the world.Alexandria came to be regarded as the capital of knowledge and learning, in part because of the Great Library, but mostly for the Owl Griffins who added to it. It drew many important and influential scholars to work at the Library during the third and second centuries BC. Anyone could access the library and its vast stores of information as long as they brought some knowledge in return, the only rule was that the Library could not be used for destructive or violent behavior. Patrons of the Library must be respectful of all the knowledge collected. This relationship between the Owl Griffons and the patrons was beneficial and rather stable until the rule of Julius Caesar. In 48 BC during the civil war over half the library was burnt down by Julius Caesar. Trapped inside the library as it burned, the Owl Griffins and patrons tried to extinguish the fire, but faced a heavy loss of over half the archives. Devastated that humans could disrespect such a place of peace and knowledge, they became heavily depressed and remained inside the library trying their best to rebuild. It was all for not though as by the time of the Palmyrene invasion, the library ceased to exist. With all its walls torn down the Owl Griffons found themselves trapped within their humanoid appearance. The best they could do is tap into a hybrid form where their tails, wings, and talons appear. With all their hard work destroyed the Owl Griffins lost their interest in life and other races. Depressed, these Immortals found it difficult to carry on, once active recorders of history, now became indifferent bystanders, watching life around them unfold. That was until there was a massive shift in history, with the uprising of the supernaturals, suddenly they found interest in life again. Coming out of their hiding, now known as Strigiffins, they started to mingle with life.

Abilities:

With their ability to transform into their full Owl Griffin form stripped from them, the best the now known Strigiffins can do is turn into a hybrid form. In this form their long feathered tails emerge from their tailbones, multicolored feathers sprout from their back to form gorgeous owl-like wings, and their nails turned into talons.Keeping their owl-like characteristics Strigiffins have incredible eyesight, able to see clearly at night. They have precision hearing able to hear a pin drop in the next room, this often leaves them wearing headphones throughout the day to block the noise around them. With their feathers being long and velvety, they are silent in flight not only to humans, but also to ultra-sensitive hearing species. As former historians, what made the Owl Griffins so good at their jobs collecting knowledge was their photographic memory. Able to recall any information that they read, they can transcribe it down at a later time. Though their memory is impeccable, able to recall anything from any time, they are often forgetful when enacting their schedules. Knowing when and where to be is one thing, but checking the time and making sure you’re timely is an entirely different thing.Distractions are what turn Strigiffins into their own worst enemy. They are easily taken off task by the slightest of noises, or if too focused on the task at hand, time seems to slip away from them. Socially awkward from their years of isolation this too happens to be one of their weaknesses as simple interactions are often over thought and a mild panic takes over causing them to ramble on and on if someone else does not stop them.Fire, whether magical or normal, is a great fear and weakness of Strigiffins. With the trauma of being trapped in The Great Library of Alexandria while it was burning to the ground, it instilled a great fear in the Immortals. Fire is destructive and violent, everything that they stand against. Though a regular fire is easily put out, a magical fire is what Strigiffins need to watch out for as it can permanently damage their body, causing their wings to burn where their feathers will never return or recover.

Appearance:

Once large Owl Griffins, Strigiffins are now humanoid beings. They tend to vary in size, but their build is tapered like actual owls, broader and larger in the shoulders and chest that slims down toward the waist. In their fully human form the only detail that gives them away to being a Strigiffin is the feathers that adorn their hair.In order to use their other features from when they were mighty beasts, they need to shift into their hybrid from. In their hybrid form a long and feathery tail emerges from their tailbone, their nails turn into taloned claws, from their backs immerges wings made of long multicolored feathers that allows them to take flight.

Personality:

Strigiffins are usually solitary creatures, preferring to spend their time in dimly lit and quiet places. They were once known as the great historians of time, scorned by humans and their cruelty, their love for knowledge was overcome by depression and thus isolation. With recently stepping into the world again their social skills are lacking and makes them rather socially awkward. Being an Immortal they are still rather proud creatures and when their feathers are ruffled, they quite literally ruffle as their hair feathers will fray out and their chests get puffed. Since losing their chest feathers, they often wear scarves or ascots to replace what was once there. They are untrusting and prefer to keep an amicable distance from most if not all races and subspecies aside from their own. When coming across another Strigiffin they form a found family with a deep connection to each other as they share past trauma. Strigiffins will often put other Strigiffins' needs first above all else.Because they are able to keep a professional distance from others, this makes them great workers in higher education, able to distance themselves from their students and focus fully on teaching. They make great librarians able to focus on keeping the library neat, tidy, and organized, while helping others obtain knowledge. Strigiffins will usually bury themselves in their hobbies, obsessing over it in their free time, whether that be gaming, knitting, crocheting, or painting.

Relationships:

As solitary creatures it is hard to penetrate the wall that they have built up over the millenia, they are untrusting and prefer to observe rather than experience themselves. It takes multiple acts of kindness and a warm heart to take down each brick in their wall. One might get tired of trying to break down these walls brick by brick because of how long it takes, but the reward of friendship is truly satisfying once a Strigiffin gives you their trust. When they do find someone that they feel they can trust and open up to, they fully let themselves be free around them. Though mostly linked to their owl-like nature, previously being a Griffin they have some cat-like personality traits as well. Truly goofy at times when they are with those they trust and love, they enjoy lazing on their backs, basking in warm, but dim sunlight, or even swatting at yarn or feathers in front of their face. They love to share their hobbies, often adorning their loved ones with handmade goodies from their hobby. Such focused creatures, they usually need to be reminded to put their hobby down so that they can drink water or eat a meal. It’s not uncommon to find a Strigiffin loved one over their head in their current obsession.

Djinn

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies with Host

  • Eyes: Green or Hazel

  • Height: Generally rather tall, though this can vary slightly based on their desert of origin

  • Build: Larger deserts spawn larger Djinn

  • Notable: They have dark, sun kissed skin from being from where sun is almost always shining. It helps them to blend in with other desert dwelling people and keeps them from experiencing discomfort from extended exposure to sunlight.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Gnomes, an absence of sand, ice and the cold.

  • Powers: Sand manipulation, ability to withstand intense heat, illusion magic, granting wishes (to a degree).

Rank: C Tier

History:

The desert has always been alive. From stories of it swallowing enemy soldiers whole to protect Egypt from invaders, to tales of deep magic being buried in the sand, left there by beings that no one remembers...the desert has always been dangerously mysterious. This hasn't ever stopped explorers looking for adventure or merchants taking the shortest route to their destinations with all their wares. The warnings from those who grew up in the deserts and have seen the strange occurrences themselves never seem to stick. The desert draws its prey in regardless. Those who get lost in the desert or tricked by its illusions are eventually buried in the sand when they inevitably perish. They are then reborn as Djinn, immortal beings tied to the desert where they met their misfortune. They are hardly the same as they were before. Imbued with the spirit of the desert, they play tricks on those who follow their tragic footsteps. They are the conjurors of illusions; green oases with fresh water, distant cities or kingdoms. They lead others to their doom as surely as they fell to theirs. The desert breathes life into her chosen children.

Abilities:

Djinn are able to manipulate sand. Materials such as glass and cement which have high concentrations of sand in them are easy enough to withdraw the sand from for emergency use. It uses much more energy than readily available sand at beaches, for example. They can build constructs of sand and particularly old Djinn can create long lasting, almost living golems out of it. Because they are the children of the desert, they are able to withstand temperatures unimaginable to most beings as the desert is without shelter and the sun is unforgiving. They are masters of illusion as the majority of their magical ability focuses on this. They can trick the mind of almost any being into seeing what they want them to see. This does not apply to the Djinn or anyone's appearance and once the person realizes they are being tricked, the illusion will collapse. It has been said in many legends long ago, that if one managed to befriend a Djinn and keep them in their home, they would bring prosperity and would be able to grant wishes. Djinn are where the idea for genies in fiction originated from, and there is a grain of truth there. If a Djinn takes a liking to you, they may grant you a wish...but be careful what you wish for or how you word it. Some are malicious and will find their fun in your despair.Djinn are always the strongest in their own desert of origin.

Appearance:

Djinn are generally tall, and strongly built, as these are the bodies of healthy adventurers or rugged merchants willing to try their luck. Their skin has a tan or darker hue to it for better endurance in their natural environment. They retain the majority of their appearance they had before they died, but have added features thanks to the desert doing its best to repair them and keep them strong. Their eyes are as green as the oases they often trick travelers with, or hazel with brown and blue of fertile land and fresh water. When they are at their strongest, a Djinn no longer looks as human as they once were, looking a bit more unnatural and obviously a being of sand. Djinn have faint markings on their skin that grows more defined when they use their magic. They lose their legs and anything beneath the waist becomes a small sandstorm of sorts, looking much like a traditional genie's tail.

Personality:

Djinn can be good or bad, but they are always playful tricksters. Some love drawing poor prey into the desert for their desert to choose from, uncaring for the lives of those she doesn't choose. Some are more benevolent and their tricks are less harmful, using their illusions to draw people out of the desert instead of deeper in.Generally, they are quite personable. Hard to get someone to follow you into the desert or to a far away, nonexistent oasis if you aren't a people person. There are, of course, some Djinn who are very private and hate everyone, simply swallowing people with sand rather than playing games and gradually sowing the seeds of their demise.

Relationships:

Deserts are vast and often very lonely. Djinn are generally pretty solitary creatures considering they have the desert to talk to who speaks back to them. Djinn are more into animals than they are people. If you make friends with a Djinn, you should consider yourself very lucky. They are very picky about the company they keep, if they have to keep it all. Romantically, Djinn aren't beings to settle down. They can be there for a decade with the same person and suddenly leave and never return for no particular reason. It's not malice, but they live forever. Their first love will always be their desert, and everything else comes after that.

Mages

Worshipers of the Goddess Hekate the Witches balance each other out between the light side and dark side of the moon Goddess. Meanwhile Alchemists worship a different type of ideals, science. All three of them are able to wield magic for light, dark, or some gray area in between.

Light Witch

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Light Colors

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: 1,000 Years

  • Notable: Powerful love for nature, strong dislike for those who harm nature, lifespan of up to 1,000 years if left to grow old.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Poisons, weapons, dark magic, blood-magic.

  • Powers: Telekinesis, spells & potions, conjuration, geomancy, transmutation.

Rank: C Tier

History:

In the division of magic, there must always be a balance. Where there is day, there is night. Darkness and Light cannot live without the other, the Goddess Hekate is the embodiment of balance.Light Witches worship the goddess and her light side, cultivating and devoting themselves to a purer type of magic. They draw their power from Hekate and nature, often using herbs and moonlight to help those who seek their help.

Abilities:

Light Witches are not solitary people, they desire to be with people and help them in whatever means they can. This often leads the Light Witches to opening little shops of their own or working in someone else's, offering their services. They are known to never turn down a soul seeking help, often taking payment in the form of anything the seeker may have. When deep into studying or practicing certain spells or potions, Light Witches have a tendency to stay glued to their seat in heavy concentration, using their telekinesis ability to acquire anything needed so they do not have to move. The innate need to help is what drove the Light Witches to their most famous ability, changing a Human into a Familiar. They learned to bind the spirit of certain animals with Humans, resulting in a species that is loved by all. Light Witches tend to find the souls of rabbits and deer aligning with their own, making it easier to bind them to a human, thus creating Usagi and Saseum. But what was given can also be taken away. Light Witches can revert a familiar back into a human, and will do so without warning. A punishment for the misdeeds of a familiar, or simply the Light Witch seeing a better use for the magic. This is not limited to familiars that they create, a Light Witch can unbind any two souls whether bound by a Light or Dark Witch.

Appearance:

The appearance of Light Witches vary, their height, build, and eye color, are not what makes them identifiable. What makes a Light Witch stick out from a Dark Witch is the color of their hair and natural glow of their skin.Naturally a Light Witch’s hair will be on a spectrum from light brown to strawberry blonde, all the way to gray or white hair. Nature loving their skin has a warm natural glow to it all year round.

Personality:

Light Witches are typically good beings, holding a deep sense of care for others who follow a good alignment and carrying a strong sense of pity for those weaker than them. They are one of the first races to come to the defense of a human, thinking it a moral obligation in addition to a kind gesture.Animal and nature lovers Light Witches will open their doors to anyone and everyone. Knowing that there is alway good within they truly believe that every soul can be saved. They do not believe in fully black and white, but there is always gray area in between that most people find themselves in.

Relationships:

As perfectionists and type A personalities, it might be hard to create a deep bond with a Light Witch at first. Often they put helping others above their own needs and if they have a partner, sometimes before theirs. It’s not a conscious or malicious decision they make, but when in the middle of something they deem important, the rest of the world seems to melt away. They often work themselves hard and it takes an outside perspective to help ground them and realize that they are important as well, that they need rest, eat balanced meals, and to stay hydrated. It is easy for a Light Witch to forget all this with their tunnel vision. Once reminded there is more in the world than the certain project they are working on, they enjoy being around their partner, friends, or familiars, taking time to reconnect with their loved ones and nature.

Appearance:

The appearance of Dark Witches vary in eye color, but are usually a darker shade, height, and build, but what sets them apart from their Light Witch brethren is their black hair and pale skin. The path of Darkness is not an easy path to take. It takes a toll on one's body and mind. Jet black hair makes the white, near translucent skin of the Dark Witches stand out even more. The more a Dark Witch loses themselves to power and the madness that comes with it, the more their veins start to stand out against their pale skin. The more corrupt, the darker the veins get till they almost look black in color.

Personality:

Selfish, cruel, self-serving, power hungry, mad are a few adjectives that describe Dark Witches. They want control over everything and everyone in their lives, there's nothing they won't do to keep the power they hold along with gaining more. Often they will orchestrate a tragedy, putting a mortal in life-threatening danger only to swoop in and be seen as the 'hero' saving the dying person's life by transforming them into a familiar.Dark Witches do not have a sense of morality as they will do what they please whenever they please. They do not hesitate to take down anyone in their way, nor will they blink when it comes to taking an innocent's life. If killing can help them gain more power, then it's just bad luck for whomever they decide is a worthy sacrifice.

Relationships:

Often wary of Light Witches the two can help balance each other out as one cannot exist without the other. Light Witches will tend to help ground their Dark brethren and keep them from slipping too deep into madness often trying to steer them away from using necromancy. If their Dark Witch counterpart does slip into a hungry need for power, a Light Witch will often try to put them in their place. They will do so by splitting their familiars and doing everything in their power to try and stop what was once their friend, using every power they have to try and bring them back. Though, because Dark Witches tip the scales, causing an imbalance, it is difficult for a Light Witch to fight against a Dark Witch for long.Twisted and possessive lovers, they cannot be fully trusted and will always put their own needs above others. If one does happen to catch the eye of a Dark Witch, their love is possessive, you are their property.A Dark Witch would do anything to keep and protect the ones they love without caution. In order to survive the relationship, one might tread carefully for if a Dark Witch sees a potential threat or wandering eyes, there is no hesitation when it comes to taking what is theirs.Dark Witches who dabble in necromancy have been known to bring back their dead lovers. Plucking their souls from the realm of the dead they have two choices, put their soul back into their corpse and watch as their loved ones bodies rapidly decay or to place their soul in another's living body. The latter allows the dead soul to first kill off the host's own soul before it starts to take full control of the body and slowly rot as a dead soul can only leech life, not sustain it.

Dark Witch

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Dark Brown to Black

  • Eyes: Dark in Color

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: 1,000 Years

  • Notable: Greedy, cruel, and self-serving

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Mortality, weapons, madness, light magic, and greed.

  • Powers: Curse-making, potions, blood-magic, necromancy, transmutation.

Rank: C Tier

History:

In the division of magic, there must always be a balance. Where there is day, there is night. Darkness and Light cannot live without the other, the Goddess Hekate is the embodiment of balance.Dark Witches worship the goddess and her dark side, cultivating and devoting themselves to a darker type of magic. They draw their power from Hekate and blood, often using sacrifices when the moon is at its darkest to help build their power. Though Hekate is all about balance, Dark Witches tend to try and tip the scales by gaining as much power as they possibly can, but at a great cost.

Abilities:

Dark Witches are powerful Mages – adept in dark magic and masters of blood magic. They worship the Goddess Hekate just like their opposites, but instead of following her light, they choose to follow her in darkness. Those who plunge in too deep to the dark side of Hekate using necromancy start to lose themselves for they are not Gods, they are meant to stay within the realm of mortals, this degrades the mind as they slowly start to dive into madness.Blood Magic is an arcane art that is practiced by Mages who attempt to gather a vast amount of power through utilizing blood to make their connection to the Goddess Hekate stronger. Using blood from sacrifices grants a Dark Witch stronger power, long enough to enact their curse or fortify their curses or potions. When it comes to using their own blood, Dark Witches are able to manipulate their blood as an extension of themselves and their magic depending on just how much blood and experience the Dark Witch is yielding. Able to use their blood to fortify a pact with another, create a barrier to protect themselves, or to infiltrate another’s body, blood magic takes years to master.Power is what drives the Dark Witch’s desires when using transmutation to change a human into a Familiar. To be feared and obtain knowledge is most important to Dark Witches, thus they find themselves binding the most useful of souls to one another. Jaguars, apex predators of their habitat. Ravens, the most intelligent and loyal birds. Naguals and Ravens suit the needs of Dark Witches the best, but they are not limited to only making the two subspecies, as long as there is some sort of gain. For a price, Dark Witches usually offer their services in potions and curses, but it is always wise to be wary when dealing with Dark Witches. They seek more than just wealth and riches from life and are always hunting for useful bodies whether it means they’ll make a good sacrifice, a useful familiar, or a tool to be used at a later time for their debt. Whatever potion you need just remember, no potion lasts forever, it’s in the Dark Witches best interest to keep you coming back. The stronger the potion the less time it remains in effect and the quicker the body builds a resistance to it. Curses on the other hand can be generational if a Dark Witch so decides to use blood magic to empower it, but it often comes at the cost of their own life, even Dark Witches who live to 1,000 need to sacrifice their life to enact such a high level curse. How strong a curse is depends on how old they are, younger Dark Witches often find it harder to make their curses last for long or to curse a specific item. The strongest of all Dark Witches are those who have sunk to the depths of necromancy. It grants users powers beyond what they can handle. Mortal bodies were not meant to withhold the crippling power of traveling in and out of the realm of death. Souls are held in the realm of the dead for a short while before they are collected by the Universe to join them as one of the stars. Dark Witches can reach into this realm and pluck a soul back from their recent death to be put in a new body. Dark Witches may also reanimate a dead body for a short amount of time, controlling them with a mix of necromancy and blood magic. A Dark Witch who too frequently travels to and fro the land of the dead will find their soul, body, and mind withering away and rotting. Corrupted by all the power Dark Witches who use necromancy often do not live to see their 1,000th birthday. Power hungry these Dark Witches dive deeper and deeper into madness as they lose their minds. Once they reach the point of madness, of craving deeper power, doing anything they can to achieve it, losing themselves in the insanity. Often laughing too much as they force their will onto others, this is the high before the fall. The next stage comes in waves, often mimicking the symptoms of Alzheimers. Memory loss and confusion often come first, next they get aggressive and easily agitated, days blend into each other and they no longer know when and where they are, finally depression hits leaving them close to a catatonic state.

Alchemist

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: 1,000 Years

  • Notable: Aversion to large group settings, appreciation for history and science, always having something to write with.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Anti-social, tunnel vision, ignoring morality.

  • Powers: General magic, ability to transform something into something else with a similar composition, ability to read ancient runes and use transmutation circles.

Rank: C Tier

History:

Alchemists are the scientists of the magical community. They have no Goddess or God that they worship, they are in the gray area between light and dark. Their magic relies heavily on research, studies, experiments and measurement. Alchemy is one of the more precise magics, and is a lot less wand waving and spells and more measuring out powders and liquids and seeing which elements need to be used to create something. It involves a lot of drawing of arcane symbols, most commonly known as transmutation circles. Generally, their transformative magic is used benevolently, though it has not always been so, historically.Alchemy is one of the oldest branches of magic. It originated in the desert regions of the world and was originally used to find water. Later, alchemists started writing down the positions of the stars and the moon and the effects they have on the world around them. They started researching what things are made of and what things have the same general construction. They wanted to make more things than water. They wanted to know everything about what's around them. As they got further into their research, they were able to combine the runes they had to refine their magic and make it do more specific things. Eventually, their research paid off and they could turn one thing into another if their constituents are similar enough.Their goals grew lofty. What else can they transform? Can they turn lead to gold? Can they create the elixir for life, create immortality? Alchemical research takes on a darker edge, one that Alchemists now try to forget. Well...most of them. Some have chosen to delve into the dark past of alchemy in an attempt to revive the old ways.

Abilities:

Alchemists use their magical ability in order to obtain knowledge through organized experimentation in all branches of science such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, etc. In theory, their ability is limitless when taking into account that sciences is endless and one's knowledge can forever expand. They are able to manipulate the laws of physics, logic, nature, and science so long as they understand their basics. The more knowledge of science they possess, the easier it is for them to manipulate it.

Appearance:

There is nothing notable about an Alchemist, physically they look like any other human. Their hair color, eye color, hight, and build vary from person to person. It is usually the items that they chose to carry round with them that point towards them being an Alchemist rather than their looks.

Personality:

An Alchemist's personality varies from Alchemist to Alchemist, but most are people who have a strong sense of focus and approach things from a more logical and scientific mindset. Emotions can be hard for them to properly process. This can be off putting to others as Alchemist will not sugar coat their words. They will say things direct and to the point which can often upset those more sensitive than they.

Relationships:

Alchemists tend to be very work oriented, whether it's charity or researching ways to make people's lives easier. For them, helping is a love language. So while an alchemist may not directly say that they care about someone, they'll show it to the best of their ability. When it comes to romantic entanglements, they can be awkward. Maybe too gung-ho or not showing enough interest.Interpersonal relationships are a struggle, but they try because they know it's worth it.

Appearance:

If there was something notable about a Puppeteer, it would be their hands and hair. A pureblood Puppeteer from the original Mapioveta bloodline would have silver to blonde hair, while the others born from intermarriages would have various colored hair. In a closer scrutiny, their fingers would have more ring marks compared to other people due to their arcane talents. Nowadays, their hair color, eye color, height, and build vary from person to person.

Personality:

This person is a complex blend of contradictions. They possess an obsessive drive to create, a relentless pursuit of perfection in their craft that borders on a god-complex. Every creation they bring to life becomes an extension of their ego, each stroke of genius a testament to their prowess. However, this creative process exacts a toll, siphoning away years from their already limited lifespan with each animation. Despite their formidable arsenal of weapons, both literal and metaphorical, they are plagued by extreme shyness, retreating into the shadows to avoid the scrutiny of others. This isolation only serves to deepen their sense of exclusion, perpetuating a cycle of self-imposed solitude that few dares to breach.

Relationships:

Puppeteers can be workaholics. They could spend days in their delegated workshops and would emerge only when they were plagued with their biological needs and calls. Their love language is gift-giving, and not only gift-giving, they create the gifts that they give to their beloved as it is their pride and joy to create for someone they value. Although they are often quiet, they would always be direct when it comes to their romantic intentions. You will know if a Mapioveta wants you, they are not good at flirting, but would practice if that would get them to you. They will not send mixed signals, but they will have “off the grid” breaks because socialization exhausts them.Being social is a big challenge for them as they have poured their attention into their creations typically, and they might frequently forget how social norms work. But, this does not stop them, since they would need models to create their automatons and puppets after.

Puppeteer

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Brown Hair ; Pureblood Line Silvery Blonde Hair

  • Eyes: Varies

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Varies

  • Lifespan: 1,000 Years

  • Notable: Beautiful hands with long slender fingers, mindful of their property, especially their handcrafted puppets

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Obsession to create — god-complex on their creation, animating takes years from their lifespan, weapons, extreme shyness, exclusion.

  • Powers: Animating non-sentient beings, sharing their life years as “soul” to their animated creation, string magic, innate tracking magic for all their creations, living dolls.

Rank: C Tier

History:

Mapioveta are commonly referred to as the Mage Puppeteers, whose arcane talents emerged from the extreme need for survival. Centuries ago, during the brutal eradication of Mages in Greece, they masked themselves as mere creators of puppets and automatons, concealing their true nature in the shadows. They faced the imminent threat of extinction because of the loud cry from the hypocrisy of the non-Mage population back in the day. They harnessed their innate magic to infuse life into their creations, granting them sentience and vitality akin to their own.Among the purest of these Mapiovetas, legends speak of those whose mastery over their craft was unparalleled. With silver hair that shimmered like moonlight, they wielded their locks as ethereal threads, seamlessly weaving their enchantments into the intricate movements of their puppets and their blood fueled their automatons. Through the ages, this distinct trait became a hallmark of their lineage, a symbol of their connection to the mystical arts.Yet, as time wore on and the bloodline spread, intermarriages with mundane folk diluted the purity of their ancestry. With each union, the vibrant hues of their natural hair colors began to intermingle with the other races, marking the gradual decline of their lineage. Though their magical prowess remained undiminished, the signs of their heritage became less pronounced, hidden beneath layers of mortal traits.

Abilities:

Puppeteers are gifted with strong, beautiful hands and silken, healthy hair. This is because their hands served as the control for their string-type creations, while their hair strands were used as strings to connect the puppet to their hands and the strands disappear upon establishing the connection. As for their automaton-type creations, they fuel it with their blood to bring it to life at the level of sentience of their choosing. The more blood they fuel the automaton with, the higher their intelligence or accuracy to the imitated life they were shaped after.Together with giving life to non-sentient beings is the ability to track them too. Since the connection is established between the creation and the creator, a Puppeteer will know whether their creation was destroyed, broken, and they will know where to find them. It was a sharp intuition gifted to their kind. This ability also gives Puppeteers another ability that sets them apart from the other Mages — String Magic. Like telekinesis, they would be able to move things around them, but unlike telekinesis which uses only the mind, a Mapioveta’s string magic creates invisible strings that could move objects. This is highly dependent on the skills and physical strength combined of the wielder. They could lift a boulder if they practiced for it. However, string magic needed hand direction, as this is the control that the strings would follow. String magic relies on skills, hand movement, and magic level. For those who are skilled and gifted with time to honor their craft, these Puppeteers can create living dolls. Taking a recently deceased corpse these Mages can replace the organs of the body with their own handcrafted mechanical organs. Putting their blood magic into these organs will allow the corpse to become their living doll. Though beauty is fading, these dolls do not live very long do to the body rotting from the outside.

Vampires

Created from the Original Sin of Gluttony, these creatures gorge themselves on blood in order to survive. They are slaves to the sin that created them, not needing to feed frequently, but always feeling the insatiable thirst for more and more.

Daywalker

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Browns to Red

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Deceptively Average

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Retractable fangs. Mark of Purity.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Their true name, tainted blood, black magic, gold.

  • Powers: Amazing speed, agility, immortality (unless killed), fantastic eyesight, superhuman strength.

Rank: A Tier

History:

The Original Sin of Gluttony can never be satiated. Fueled by all the Glutton in the world he earns for more and meaning. There was an emptiness inside he needed to fill something, no someone, to pass his legacy onto. It was then he decided to bring into the world, Children of Gluttony otherwise known as Vampires. He saw what Humans lacked and he created the perfect specimen. His children were everything a human was, wasn't, and on top of it all they shared in his gluttonous appetite. The hunger, the thirst, they felt could not be satiated with food, but they needed blood. They found that by drinking the blood of Humans and other creatures they could not only sustain themselves, but keep themselves young, strong, and beautiful. With time these children learned discipline and would spare others from being drained. Experimenting they found that they could create weaker versions of themselves by letting their bitten victims gorge themselves on Vampire blood. Thus two subspecies of Vampires were born, the Daywalkers, direct descendants of the Original Sin of Gluttony and their turned creations, the Nightwalkers.

Abilities:

Like their name suggests, Daywalkers are able to spend time out in the sun. They are able to blend in among the Humans during the day, often choosing white collar jobs or creating their own businesses. It's important for them to keep up public appearances so no one questions what they happen to do at night when their hunger is uncontrolable.Everything about a Daywalker is amazing, the speed at which they can travel, their agility, their strength, even their eyesight is superior to most creatures. If injured, what would kill any human, only takes a Daywalker mere minutes to an hour at most. The most amazing gift they had been given was the ability to create more Vampires. Sinking their teeth into their chosen fledgling they are able to drain them just enough so that when they drink the blood of their sire, it fills and soon replaces all of their human blood.

Appearance:

Even if they are able to spend time out in the sun, Daywalkers remain pale to the point where you can easily see their blue veins under their skin. Stunningly beautiful and silver tongued this deadly combo is what makes it easy for them to lure in prey to their demise.Gorging themselves on blood, feeding their gluttonous sides, is what keeps the Daywalkers looking young and attractive. If a Daywalker goes without feeding on blood for too long they will start to age and lose their beauty quite rapidly. A few weeks without feeding and their skin will start to wrinkle while their hair turns grey. Vain creatures and slaves to gluttony rarely do they let themselves get to the point of allowing themselves to physically age.

Personality:

Daywalkers personalities come in a wide variety but something that they all share is a perceived superiority to all other races. They might be able to hide it well externally, but tend to be classist and arrogant.Especially if they have lived for millennia, Daywalkers used to be the apex predators. Nothing was stronger, faster, or more stunning then they. Their egos became elevated with nothing to challenge them, that was until the Lycans were created.

Relationships:

Daywalkers maintain friendships and partnerships like most other creatures and Humans. They often enjoy profitable relationships where there's some kind of benefit (physical, emotional, etc.). Because of their short attention spans due to their long lives, Daywalkers tend to lean towards polyamory, taking two or more lovers at a time.Often if they become infatuated with a Human they will sire them in order to keep them at their side forever. Very few of these relationships last and often what once was love and infatuation, turns cold and not enough. Daywalkers will always feel a hunger for more.

Appearance:

Like their sires, Nightwalkers are beautiful and alluring. When their hunger is low their eyes are a deep reddish-brown color, the longer they hold back the more red their eyes will appear. When feeding their eyes turn a bright shade of red, unable to hide who they truly are. There are traits that distinguish a Nightwalker from a Daywalker. Nightwalkers will all have two puncture hole shaped scars where their sire bit them. Although just as pale Nightwalkers will have dark circles under their eyes. They have shorter fangs than their sires due to the fact that they are not retractable.

Personality:

Like their Day counterparts, Nightwalker's personalities come in a wide variety, but lack the full arrogance of a Daywalker. Often they are reminded that they can never reach the full potential of their sires. They are the weaker and thus lesser of the Vampires. Rarely will they fight back against a direct order from their sire, unless they are looking to die at their hands.

Relationships:

Relationships can be fickle for Nightwalkers. Their life has been forever changed and where their new found power helps them beat any foe from past or present, their insatiable hunger is what makes them a monster. A slave to gluttony it is so easy for them to accidentally kill a loved one. Often they will choose to move away to protect those they love who are seen as the weaker species.Their relationships with their sires come in a wide variety. Some are turned because they fall in love, others turned out of pity, trying to save a dying life, for power and building an army, some just because a Daywalker felt like it. One thing is for sure though, no matter what the relationship started out like with their sire, if a Nightwalker pushes boundaries and crosses a Daywalker, they will be put back in their place. An eternal lifespan comes with a lot of boredom, Nightwalkers, just like Daywalkers, often lean towards polyamory taking multiple lovers at once.

Nightwalker

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Shades of Red

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Average

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Lack of a Mark of Purity, dual puncture scars from being bitten.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Sunlight, gold, tainted blood, their true name spoke in their original language.

  • Powers: Increased: speed, strength, durability, extended lifespan

Rank: C

History:

It only took a few centuries for the Vampires to learn to discipline themselves rather than gorgue on entire villages leaving them with little sustenance to keep them going. It's then they were able to start experimenting with their prey. Could a human survive if they didn't drain them of all their blood? The Vampires started testing to see just how much blood they could drain from Humans before it was too much for their frail bodies to replace. How often could they feed from one human and keep them alive? These experiments kept going until one thought to do what no other had done before. What happens when a bitten human, drain partial of their blood, feeds off a Vampire? The answer was, create more. Well, a weaker version of themselves. From there the division of Vampires were created, Daywalkers and Nightwalkers. These Nightwalkers suffered from ailments that Daywalkers did not, the sun would start to burn their flesh, if they stopped feeding for extended periods of time, they would die. These new Vampires were not as strong or fast as their sires, they healed slower, and they lacked the arrogance their sires held, knowing that they are the weaker beings.

Abilities:

Once frail little Humans, turned they have evolved into something better. They are now gifted with the life of eternity, so long as they feed and do not get themselves killed. Super strength, speed, and dexterity bring their life from being easy prey, to a dangerous predator.Unable to walk in the sunlight they must wait until after dusk to hunt. Their beauty and grace make it easy for them to stalk prey at bars, clubs, and other nightly establishments. Their silver tongues make it oh so easy to single out their prey from any group and lure them into somewhere more private where they can dig their fangs into them.Although Nightwalkers have the ability to make more Nightwalkers, it is difficult for them as gluttony has a stronger hold on them than their sires. Once the taste of blood hits their tongue they become insatiable and will drain their prey before getting the chance to turn them.

Dhampir

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Varies but blood red when hungry

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Average

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Blood red eyes when hungry, baby fang teeth

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Hunger, tainted blood, titanium weapons, dark magic.

  • Powers: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, eyesight and resilience. Immortality unless killed and immunity to diseases.

Rank: C Tier

History:

After having been forcibly changed by a Nightwalker, the now Daywalker had a horrible time adjusting. He remained obsessed with his human wife, the outcome of this unnatural pairing created the first Dhampir. An accident that opened up a whole new generation of Vampires to be created. With the first Dhampir born a few hundred years ago Nightwalkers and Daywalkers alike have had their way and created more Dhampirs, truly bringing in a new subspecies that would make the Vampire race live on. Unfortunately fate was not kind to the human mothers, if the pregnancy didn’t kill them the birthing process usually did. On rare occasions where the human mother survived, if the Vampire father was not present the child would feed on and kill their mother within month. Continuing to make it extremely rare for a human mother to survive long enough to raise their child.Dhampir children reach maturity quicker than a human child. In nine human years they reach their full adulthood. They will remain young so long as they feed. The perfect blend between human and vampire some would say, however, there was a cruel twist in the genes. A Dhampir that loses their sanity will descend into madness known as bloodlust. This phenomenon plagued the early years of Dhampir’s resulting in the Daywalkers having to cull a large majority of the first 100 years worth. Quickly they figured out that if the Dhampir was created by a Daywalker they resisted the bloodlust much better than those created by Nightwalkers. These Dhampirs often become hunters of their own kind taking out those in bloodlust, some even going as far to hunt Nightwalkers and Daywalkers that cause terror and destruction.

Abilities:

Dhampirs are stronger, faster and more resilient than their human ancestors, but less so than their Daywalker or Nightwalker ancestors. If created by a Daywalker their abilities will be on par with that of a Nightwalker, however, those created by Nightwalkers will find their abilities to be lesser than Dhampirs created by Daywalkers. They possess the ability to see in the dark and have immunity to all illnesses. Much like Daywalkers they are able to live forever as long as they are not killed. With Dhampirs that have descended into bloodlust, they are stronger than a sane Dhampir, though they drop their speed and intelligence in the process.Due to being part Human these Vampires are immune to the sun. Like their Daywalker cousins they are able to walk in the sunlight, unlike the Daywalkers though, Dhampirs are not at all drained by the sun. Instead they find their eyes sensitive to the light causing them to often wear sunglasses outdoors and indoors depending on how much natural light filters through the windows.

Appearance:

A Dhampir looks very much human all things considered. They are cooler to the touch than the average Human, but they still have working organs and a beating heart. If you were looking at a Dhampir you would probably be unaware anything was different about them compared to a Human. They are incredibly beautiful, taking after their Daywalker or Nightwalker ancestors, giving them a beauty above that of a Human. The only true way to tell a Dhampir apart from a human is the red of the eyes when hungry or their sharpened fangs. Though these are smaller in size compared to their Daywalker and Nightwalker cousins, they are often passed off as rather pointy canines.

Personality:

Dhampirs have two types of personalities depending on how much they have given into their bloodlust. For those that are still sane, they are able to retain the majority of their human nature. They act and behave very much like any other Human, but tend to be more arrogant. They know they are stronger, faster, and more resilient. Dhampirs very much use this to their advantage.Much like Humans, some are kinder, some are assholes, and all other varying personality traits but, the one thing they all feel is the call of the thirst. As long as they can resist the growing temptation within themselves, they can keep from descending into bloodlust. Those who resist will remain very much as they are, going through life and living indefinitely so long as they aren’t destroyed by another. For Dhampirs that have lost their minds to the thirst of bloodlust, they are nothing but a monster in societies eyes. They have no morals, no sanity, no respect for life. Dhampirs who have given into bloodlust just feed how and when they want. The experience is not pleasant for the person being drained, not that it matters, because usually the bloodlust Dhampir will drain them to death. These Dhampirs are aggressive and violent often attacking each other and members of their own race. The only calm they ever get is in the presence of a Daywalker. The presence of a Daywalker will ease their mind while they are close and is the only chance a bloodlust fallen Dhampir has of regaining their sanity. Usually they spiral deeper and deeper into bloodlust, until a hunter or a Daywalker takes them out. Bloodlust Dhampirs do not survive as long as a sane Dhampirs due to their destructive natures. Unfortunately Dhampirs created by Nightwalkers are more likely to descend into madness due to the weakened bloodline.

Relationships:

Dhampirs can maintain relationships much easier than Daywalkers and Nightwalkers. They find it easier to fit in with society due to being partly Human. They understand both Humans and supernatural beings more than either parent ever could. Dhampirs get rather attached to those they form bonds with and are highly protective of those in their life.Much like Humans a Dhampir can have a variety of relationships platonic, romantic and sexual. Enjoying everything the world has to offer, those that have gone mad with bloodlust tend to obsess over the people that were in their lives before the bloodlust had taken over. This obsession mixed with the dire thirst of bloodlust often leads to the Dhampir attacking, and more often than not, killing their loved ones. Once they realized what they have done, it pushes them deeper and further into madness.

Werewolves

The Original Sin of Greed had saw what Gluttony had done. Create their own children, make a legacy for themselves. Greed wanted what Gluttony had and made their own children, Lycans. Half wolf, half Human they would shift every full moon into their animal counterparts. It wasn't till years later that the two children of the Deadly Sins combined into a horrible nightmare.

Moon Child

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Grey-Blue

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Sturdy, but smaller than Nulhounds

  • Lifespan: 5,000 Years

  • Notable: Pack minded, weary of outsiders, nocturnal, tend to feel more comfortable living in the woods than the city.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Silver, wolfsbane, lunar eclipses, electricity.

  • Powers: Heightened senses, accelerated healing, enhanced agility, super-strength, ability to turn Humans to Lycans.

Rank: B Tier

History:

Legend says that before the Moon and Sun became lovers, the Moon was in a relationship with someone else in the spirit world. Her lover was Wolf who would sing her beautiful songs each and every night. They would sleep throughout the day in order to spend as much time with the Moon as he could before she laid down to rest. Not everyone approved of their love, perhaps it was jealousy to see two souls so committed to one another. A trickster spirit who despised the constant happiness of Wolf and the Moon, he devised a plan to break them up for good. Telling Wolf of the Moon's secret desire for beautiful flowers only found on Earth, without thinking Wolf went to go and fetch them for her. What Wolf didn't know, is that once you leave the spirit world, you can never go back. Giving up his place in the spirit world and his human form, Wolf was trapped on Earth as the animal that represents his name. Forever torn apart, at least he could still serenade the Moon with his songs each time she turned fully to the Earth. The least she could do was gift Wolf with his human appearance, except for the night the two of them can met where he turns back into the shape of a wolf.

Abilities:

Moon Children descendants of Wolf, who loved the Moon, they too love the moon and see her as a maternal figure even though they are unable to communicate with her aside from their songs come the full moon. They are fully able to control themselves during the full moon in their wolf form. It is an extension of themselves, unlike Familiars or Lycans, there is no animal entity they share their body with. This control makes it easier to help guide Lycans who do not have control of themselves or the animal they have now become and share a being with.Unlike Humans, in any form, they have heightened senses, enhanced agility, and super strength. Mood Children also have the ability to heal faster than any human. A death blow to a human will not kill them, but it will be a very painful recovery that will last a few days, sometimes weeks.

Appearance:

A Moon Child's stature, like Nulhounds, are sturdy, but tend to be slightly smaller in muscle and height than the other Werewolves. The men have a rather rugged look to them while the women tend to be athletic yet graceful. Both males and females stand tall with an air of confidence. With hair color (and fur color) varying, along with skin color, the distinguishing feature of a Moon Child is their bright grey-blue eyes that almost look silver in certain lights, representing the light of the moon.

Personality:

Pack Minded, Moon Children do not like to be solitary. Family is everything to them, so any threat that happens to cross their family will be eliminated without hesitation. They will do everything to keep the children and elderly of their pack safe. Most Moon Children find employment in caretaking jobs such as Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Social Workers, etc. These professions come in handy when taking care of their pack as well as those they come across needing their help. Though they are very weary of those outside their pack and do not trust outsiders easily. It take a lot to gain the trust of a Moon Child.

Relationships:

Mostly monogamous, this is not set in stone for all Moon Children. Just like Humans they are not perfectly monogamous. Dominant personalities who enjoy going out and having fun within the pack have a higher chance of having multiple partners than those who are more submissive and looking to settle down being more family oriented. Mostly they will stick to other Moon Children, Lycans, or Humans for partners. Their trust does not go far when it comes to other races as they are too different from themselves. This being said it is not unheard of once in a blue moon, for a Moon Child to date outside Humans and Werewolves. Though this might create massive backlash from their pack. Much like a Romeo and Juliet situation.

Appearance:

The smallest of the Werewolves, Lycans are still sturdy and muscular, but very lean. They do not look that much different from Humans, but will act more troubled and sometimes 'crazy' if left on their own during their transition from Human to Lycan. With hair color (and fur color) varying, along with skin color, the distinguishing feature of a Lycan is their soft pale green eyes. Though when in a fight of rage their eyes will become a bright and vibrant green.

Personality:

A newly turned Lycan often goes through shock and are horrified of what they've been turned to. If left on their own they become flighty and jittery, often isolating themselves from their loved ones as they perceive themselves to be some sort of monster. Tortured souls, they feel as if they're going insane and take years to gain some communication with their wolf, and thus some control over the life they previous did not have.During a total lunar eclipse Lycans will actually de-transform, they will appear Human yet still maintain the mind of a lunar crazed wolf out for blood and violence. Once the eclipse has ended they return to a Werewolf form until the moon sets and sun rises at the end of the night. If a Lycan does have a mentor, someone to guide them on their change, they still feel tortured, but they're not alone. The companionship keeps them from giving into their crazed thoughts, helps ground them and keeps them from being flighty and isolating themselves. They tend to have a much more stable life and mental health.

Relationships:

More likely to isolate themselves than Moon Children, Lycans do not tend to settle down when left on their own to figure out their new change from Human to Werewolf. Flighty beings they will give into flings and one night stands rather than full commitmentment as they're too scared they will hurt someone they actually care about. For Lycans who do have control over themselves they are very protective and passionate lovers. They will not hesitate to do what they believe is best when it comes to protecting their loved ones in any perceived danger whether it's real or not. Quick tempered they are prone to lash out at anyone who they perceive is getting in the way of their relationship or causing any light to heavy distress in their loved one.

Lycan

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Pale Green

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Sturdy, but smaller than Nulhounds, and leaner than Moon Children.

  • Lifespan: 500 Years

  • Notable: Often unstable in early transitions, quick tempered, retractable claws and fangs in human form close to a full moon.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Silver, wolfsbane, lunar eclipses, electricity, insanity, Vampire bite.

  • Powers: Heightened senses, accelerated healing (slower than Moon Children), enhanced agility, super-strength, ability to turn Humans to Lycans.

Rank: B Tier

History:

The first Lycan was created when a Moon Child bit a Human during the full moon. It's not known whether the first Lycan was made on purpose or on accident upon crossing into protected territory, but they were created nonetheless. Surviving the bite, the next full moon they realized they were no longer human.Unlike the delicate shift of Moon Children, a Lycan is tormented with their shift, bones slowly breaking and reforming themselves into a shape of a wolf. It's extremely painful and what was one human now loses all their control to the animal within. During a full moon, the wolf, the animal inside, takes over for the night leaving the once human powerless and a slave to animal instincts.Often if left on their own without a pack or mentor to guide them a Lycan can do serious damage to others. Tending to black out when they lose control to their wolf, they do not remember what happened during the night of the full moon. Though if they are mentored and guided by another Werewolf, Lycans find symbiosis with their wolf, living in harmony and control.

Abilities:

A Lycan is extremely similar to a Moon Child with a few key differences. Once turned a Lycan no longer is their own being, they are forced to share their body with a wolf who they lose control to during a full moon. Even experienced and trained Lycans are not in control during a full moon, but their wolves become much more tame and communication with them opens up.With heightened senses, enhance agility, and super strength like a Moon Child, they also share the ability to heal faster than a human, though in comparison to their Werewolf counterparts, they heal the slowest. Where a deadly blow can take a few days or weeks for a Moon Child, it would take a Lycan a week to a month to heal.An ability that Lycans have that their Moon Child counterparts do not, is the ability to grow their fangs and claws in bursts of rage near the night of the full moon. Notorious for their quick tempers, it's difficult for Lycans to control themselves the closer they get to the full moon and can even partly shift with fangs and claws if pushed over the edge. With the ability to turn Humans into Lycans as well, it's often rare as they will kill any human in their way rather than spare them.

Nulhound

Characteristics:

  • Hair: Varies

  • Eyes: Bright Gold

  • Height: Varies

  • Build: Sturdier than an average human or werewolf

  • Lifespan: Immortal

  • Notable: Larger retractable fangs than both vampire and werewolf, retractable claws, can turn into a wolf at any time.

Abilities:

  • Weaknesses: Gold-silver alloy, true name spoken in the original language, fire conjured by magic.

  • Powers: Super-strength, super-speed, good sense of smell and vision, high intuition, as attractive as Pureblood vampires to lure in prey.

Rank: A Tier

History:

The Original Sin of Greed will always want the best of the best, will always want things that others have and Gluttony had the best of children. The Daywalkers. With the need to be better than Gluttony to be the best, Greed decided to make her own children. What if she took one of his Daywalkers and combined them with a Lycan? Two beasts rolled into one.Without much thought, or informing Gluttony of his plan, he combines one of his strongest Daywalkers with the strongest Lycan. What they birthed into the world would now be known as a Nulhound. It was too late when she realized her mistake, that two monsters only create a nightmare.Nulhounds, able to make more of their kind through a bite, mixed with their lack self-control due to their insatiable hunger, were able to grow quickly in numbers. Though their population is only in the hundreds, the rate in which they grew was horrifying.Their bite is painful, able to change Vampire or other Werewolf with their bite, that is if they survive the change. So few of their victims survive the venomous bite and often beg for mercy as it painfully courses through their veins.

Abilities:

Nulhounds were created to the apex predator, and they very much hold true to that expectation. Ruthless, quick to violence and fits of rage at the beginning of their lives, one Nulhound is said to be able to exterminate an entire village of over 1,000 Humans in one night. They are fast and are constantly hungry, a symptom of being half of the Original Sin of Gluttony's child, made their stomachs essentially black holes. Because of their high intuition, Nulhounds are very aware of their surroundings, and therefore the dangers nearby. On top of their heritage and powers, this adds to the reason they are so hard to kill. When a Nulhound is alive long enough and chooses to, some of them will learn to control the hunger and the rage and can integrate almost seamlessly into society, hiding in plain sight. As beautiful as their Vampire cousins, Nulhounds (even those with more control) have no shortage of prey.

Appearance:

The appearance of Nulhounds varies greatly because they can be created as well as born. Those who were turned have a scar somewhere from where they were bitten. Despite being able to heal from almost anything, they never fully heal from their sire's venom.Their golden eyes are lighter than those of their Lycan cousins, but other than that, when they are in their human form, it's hard to distinguish a Nulhound from a werewolf. These same eyes turn red when the Nulhound is needing to feed, returning to gold once they have done so. In their intermediary form, a Nulhound has large fangs and claws, and their forearms may be hairier than usual. As a full wolf, they are slightly larger than a Lycan would be.

Personality:

Nulhounds have varying personalities but are in general highly aggressive, territorial, volatile and violent. They generally have very little sense of or need for control. There a few who seek control and maintain it, but that's usually because they have a reason to. Always hungry, they have very little patience for pretty much anything and are pigheadedly stubborn to the last when it comes to arguments.

Relationships:

Because of their volatile tempers and how dangerous it is to be around them, it's hard for Nulhounds to maintain relationships, especially when they're young. Younger Nulhounds are often uninterested in interpersonal connections, the hunger too overwhelming at first.Older Nulhounds generally have more control and are able to get closer to others with less potential of harming them. When they are able to get to the point of being ready to engage in romantic relationships, like their vampire counterparts, they tend to take on multiple partners, mostly because they seek pack like any other wolf.Nulhounds make surprisingly good and affectionate friends. If they haven't eaten you by a certain point, they likely aren't going to, and intend to keep you. They are protective and nurturing as friends are precious commodities for them.
